no-boom root abyss items can now be boomed by enhancements

Yeppers, and thanks to this stupid update those are infinitely better than the "no-boom" items.

Well, then that would be too easy wouldn't it? Have people spend money like the rest of us, seems fair and nothing should ever be a done deal or 100% risk free. It would mean we invite imbalance in the game.
