How do I work Fraps

I downloaded Fraps [Free] to make a quitting vid for maple, and I don't know how to start recording. Could anyone give me a run down?

Yah-Really. o-o It'll take a bit of googling, but its do-able. o-o

Edit: I laugh because most of this thread consists of someone and I going back and forth. ._.

Yes, but there are ways around it. o-o
OT: Keep an eye out for the .avi size!

@FunMotion: You're welcome.
What I do when I use Fraps is, I open up the directory where I'm going to save the footage and set it on the side where I can see it while playing a game. As I start recording, a file will appear without any specific details in the folder view, that let's me know that I'm recording. When I finish recording, the file will change with specific details such as length of the footage I took, size, date modified, etc.

I think this might be in the wrong section, but...if you click over to the 'Movies' tab, look at the 'Video Capture Hotkey' and designate what your capture key will be. You also have to set your directory where you would like your media saved. Go nuts on the other settings.

When you're playing, to capture footage press the assigned hotkey once, the program will start recording. To finish recording your clip, just hit the hotkey again and the program will stop recording. Make sure you keep track of when you are/are not capturing footage because the file is in .avi format and is sizable. o.o

If when you capture footage you have the FPS overlay, navigate to the FPS tab and make sure the 'Hide Overlay' button is checked.
