If comic/cartoon characters and manga/anime characters fought, which side would win?

o_o Depends on which ones you're talking about.
Manga have more of a need to sell, so shonen ones are packed with super heroes. However, they are all flawed/not all powerful, because that's boring. Because of that extreme need to sell in their industry, they also tend to gravitate towards the same themes/formulas. Because it sells.
On the other hand, some comics can get pretty obscure/have some pretty out of the box themes. You might end up with a god in one or something. There's so much more variety. Furthermore, manga/anime are still comics and cartoons. By separating it the way you did, you're basically pitting the whole world's creative works against Japan's.
Also, Superman is pretty much invincible. Just throwing that out there.
