Kaiser Special Mystery Mastery Book Broken?

Sorry if this has been restated somewhere, but I'm going to purchase some Special MMBs for my Kaiser to pass mastery books a LOT easier.

However, seeing as how Luminous had issues with the MMB working, does Kaiser have the same issue?
