I got the totem from madhouse shop.. and I really wish they would add totem hide option because these totems from madhouse event is just obnoxiously ugly. IIRC dark totem event starts from october 14th
If your totems are crap then yeah. But the dark totem event is coming back, and the dark totems are better than these totems so...... I don't really know why they would release these events back to back. Unless i'm mistaken and dark totems aren't coming back this year. I do it for the chairs. Who knows if they would be worth a bit of money in a few months. Totems are untradable so only these chairs can be profited from.

@simaini: Madhouse totems are actually superior if you use them on Xenon.
@flychopin: At the bottom of your equip tab - there's an effect button. Press it and then right click the totems.
