Computer freezing and making buzzing noises

Recently, I started playing League of Legends with my friends again. After playing League of Legends for about 3 days, there was another patch. After that patch, my computer started crashing on me. By crashing, I mean no BSoD or Error messages. The screen would freeze at the screen it was currently at, and make a buzzing noise from my speaker (NOT from my computer) forcing me to hard reset the computer. Thinking that it might have been because of the recent patch, i waited till the next patch, which was yesterday, but still the same problem. Ever since the first time it froze, it would randomly freeze when I'm NOT playing League of Legends, such as Skype chatting with friends, watching Youtube, or just playing Maplestory. Thinking it was my CPU/GPU overheating, I downloaded a program that lets you see the temperature of them. After constantly ALT+Tabbing from League of Legends to check the temperature, I found out it wasn't the overheating problem. I scanned my RAM and Harddrive but found nothing. I'm actually getting really desperate here. Is anyone else having the same problem? Please and thank you.

@djpinc19: I'm AT&T and I can't seem to find it. Also, I don't think it has to do with that since it's just a wifi connection (I'm using wifi on my desktop). Now, it rarely freezes on Youtube and/or Maplestory (for 2 days now), and only freezes when I play League of Legends. Perhaps, my computer just can't handle it? I'm not really sure since it doesn't seem like a game that requires some kind of super computer to play on it.
maybe it has something to do with just online games?
Check for a driver update for the network components. On the manufacturer's driver support page, it's usually listed as something like "10/100 LAN", "Atheros", "Cisco", "Qualcomm", "wi-fi", "wireless network adapter", "wireless LAN", etc.

@TheSinsher: The only 2 games I play on computer is LoL,Darksiders 2, and Maplestory so I wouldn't know. Also, I've noticed it doesn't crash (atleast not yet) whenever I play Darksiders 2, so maybe it has something to do with just online games? I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it's really bugging me (and obviously unhealthy for my computer). All I want to do is play some games in peace.

@BobR: I've downloaded it and it did get better. Sometimes, instead of completely freezing, it would go back to normal in about 5second (although, this happens once every 2-3 crashes) I've also lasted 2 whole games without crashing, so I'm guessing it has something to do with my GPU (even though it doesn't seem to overheat or get super hot). Are there anything else I can do?

The symptoms you described (freezing and the sound, which is a result of the computer freezing) sound like bad video or sound drivers.
The drivers can become corrupted for many reasons, not shutting Windows down properly, or the power going off, or just bad karma.

An easy thing to do is to go to your computer manufacturer's web site (like dell.com or toshiba.com or whatever) and find their "Support", "Downloads" or "Drivers" page.
Then find where it says "Drivers" or "Downloads" and go to that page.
Then they'll usually ask you what MODEL and MODEL NUMBER your computer is. (Something like "Dimension 123X" ). If you don't know that info it's usually on a label on the back or bottom of the computer.
Then they'll send you to a page listing all the drivers they have for your specific computer.
Download the "audio" or "sound" file AND the "video" or "graphics" file.
When the downloads are finished, open the files you just downloaded and it will install the current sound and video drivers for your computer.

And no, the LoL update is very unlikely to have had anything to do with this problem.
@Ghetto415: I cant guarantee you anything.... before you decide to spend any money do everything you can to fix it without spending money
and you don't have to reset it to factory settings... if you have a os cd you can just instal the os.... download drivers onto a flash drive from another computer

sounds like a memory leak to me
do what that one guy said wipe your hd and re install everything
Will factory resetting my computer fix this problem for sure? I will need to buy a disk from Dell and I wouldn't want it to be a waste.
if you absolutely can't find the problem or a solution, i suggest wiping your hard drive. Some computers have a drive wipe option that makes your computer go back to how it was the first day you turned it on.
For some reason, my computer doesn't have that. It tells me that I need a Windows installation disk to factory restore my computer, which I never got when I bought this computer.
I don't think the game patch can affect your Hardware. What kind of buzzing noises does it make? like electricity? some tick sound? it might be your hard drive that causing it to freeze if you are hearing some ticks. I suggest you locate where the noise coming from first.
It's coming from my speakers. It only buzzes when there is music/BGM. The buzzing noise sounds more like the BGM/Music lagging at that moment and just goes on. The buzzing noise stops after 5-10seconds, but the screen is always completely frozen, making me have to hard reset.
posting this in the League forums would probably generate better results
Well, it seemed more like my computer in general rather than League of Legends so I decided to post it here.

@Fusoya: Alright thanks
