Maths and Kpop don't MIX!

K-pop and Maths shouldn't collide, especially for senior year. Read on

The other day, we had this practice exam for year 11 Maths. My friend who's a hardcore k-pop fan, was asked for the answer to a question. The question being what is f(x) if this is such and such. My friend says f(x) is a Korean pop group, then my teacher was like no f(x) is a function. My friend was like "No, i'm pretty sure it's k-pop" and my teach was like what's k-pop? me and my friend laugh then he said to teach, "how do you know what f(x) is if you don't know what k-pop is?" Then my teacher stared out the window and was like "see that window?" friend replied "yeah". teach says "using f(x) notation determine how fast you'd be going if I threw you out the window" my friend says"I don't know how to contact them, they're in Korea somewhere" Then my teacher had one of those f3 expressions and just says "you really don't know what f(x) is in MATHEMATICS?" (Bell rings) then my friend quickly says "lets see if you remove the f from f(x) you get x, and x can be found in the k-pop group TVXQ, and if you remove VXQ you get T which is in the name T.O.P.....(continues to ramble on)" my teacher just looks and him and says "just get out..."

Yeah, we pretty much wasted our last practice exam lesson. My teacher was cool with it, he makes plenty of jokes every lesson. After the exam he just chuckles when my friend mentions f(x) and was like "don't you start that again". Woo our maths class is awesome can't wait till next year.

Thanks for your time XD
Again don't try being smart with your Maths teacher. Only my Maths Teacher was cool with it, he even found it quite funny.

EDIT: my friend can be a real pain sometimes in all classes

LOL, my Maths class is like one of the best Maths B classes at our school, everyone is pretty bright and our teacher is awesome, often sarcastic about stuff, making jokes and taking a crack at someone. I'm in Australia btw

I'm not trolling, this one of the many things that happen in my Maths B class. I would gladly ask my teacher to ramble on this forum, but knowing him, he would say "first you 2 bother me about korean songs and now you want me to talk on a gaming forum, GET OUT OF HERE!"

Btw in Australia, Maths 2 is called Maths B.
You only started with functions in your exam year?
Nah, we started it last year, just revising the topic and applying into new-ish stuff

That makes sense. I was assuming they were making the word plural which brings me much luls.
Why do some people put an "s" at the end of the word math?
Math - thematic - s
Basically remove thematic
