Why did you make your class?

I want to find out your reasons for making your classes and how you feel now since you started the class.

I'll start!

I made a Sin because before DBs and NWs were released, they were the only class that could flash jump places. Avenger was a very cool looking mob skill and was the only decent mobbing availiable. Throwing stars was the popular craz at the time because it looked so cool XD. The only downside was close range attacking. I also got my very first 3rd job adv as a hermit!

I feel like Hermits/Sins/NLs are for the Veterans of maple and also even for the new players. I continued to play my Hermit even when Night Walkers were released, I made a few grinding buddies who were NW because of the close similarities. I stopped my hermit for a while after DB came along and was slightly annoyed about how long it took to get to lvl70 on my DB when compared to my Hermit. Hopefully they will continue to rise in numbers when Big bang arrives.

Now your turn!
State the class(es)
Why
How you feel now, since you started the class

-Gunslinger-
When Pirates first came out, I had already stashed away a level 16 Beginner to transform into a Brawler when they came out, which I successfully did and I loved the damage, but I felt something was missing. I stuck with my brawler until about level 32 or so and said "SCREW IT!" and decided to check out the other Pirate class, the Gunslinger. I actually really thought the class name was charming and sexy at the same time, and I really loved jump attacking, but disliked Assassins for many reasons. I made the gunslinger and was EXTREMELY disappointed with the damage (self-proclaimed damage WHOAR here), but I LOVED the play style. When I got to the second job advancement, I fell in love with Recoil Shot. It was so easy to use and I was so happy that I had Dash and RS, and the small numbers didn't bother me so much anymore, so I kept going. After I hit around 65, I kind of took a hiatus from MS and did some traveling and stuff, so my Gunslinger just stayed there and collected dust. After I came back, I had made an Assassin (I was over my childish hatred) and loved the damage with Ilbis and Steelys, but I longed for my speed-shooting Gunslinger. I tried to play with him again, but the low numbers just disappointed me even more now, so I decided to remake him into a statless character, because I thought that he would be so much stronger. I was right, but only because this time I managed to get some average equips (10 att WG and 20 DEX robe). I fell in love again and worked my butt off to make it to the 3rd job advancement, which was my second character to do so (first was this Chief Bandit, but that's another story). Then I kept working and working and buying bullets and equips and working working working and made it to level 96, when I was falsely banned. I still love the little guy, and I'm pretty happy with his name Souled (souied), and I'm so happy that Nexon used their brains and decided to give me my account back tomorrow. I'm gonna make it 4th job for the first time in my life, and it's gonna be on my favorite character of all time

Warrior(to Spearman) - Dragon Knights sounded cool, and warriors seemed to be the strongest when I started out.
Archer - Wanted to try out a ranged class and thought they were strong too.
Mage - After an argument with my friend on why both of us didn't have heal (I was a spearman, he was a i/l), I decided to make a cleric. I seriously thought my main job was to help&heal. So innocent back then.
Sindit - Hated sins, but always admired CBs/Savage Blow.
I/L - I loved the third ice job move.
Fighter (1st) - Tried the warrior class again, and I liked it.
Fighter (2nd) - Wanted it to be dexless, and since everyone kept using my bishop, my account was pretty much taken, so I started on a new account. I actually got far with it and she's now a hero.
Sindit (2nd) - Messed up the 1st with 100 base dex. This time, I made it to a 87 CB, and I was doing the perfect pitch thing.
Aran - For Lilin's Ring! Thought it was easy, but really wasn't :I
Sin - Wanted to see how well I did with a ranged class. Didn't go very far, it ebded up being a CPQ mule then deleted.
F/P - Adventurer Ring Event. They revamped F/P's fire arrow, so I wanted to try it.
Pirate - I wanted to try gunslinger because a lot of people chose brawlers.
DB - Mask Event. Found it to be pretty strong (I did NOT do my research on them until I needed a skill build, lol)
Brawler - By now, I chose melee over ranged. And I created this to play with my boyfriend's sair. :x
BW - Getting ready for the UA class, because I might make one way after it does come out. O-o

I was a Magician grinding in a Green Mushroom tree dungeon in Ellinia. Amongst the many other Maplers training there, I spotted a "pro" using a green, swishy skill. (This was in 2005.) The animation looked so cool, so I fell in love. I asked my Ice/Lightning Wizard buddy what the skill was, and he informed me that it was Heal.

Thus, I created a Cleric/Priest/Bishop.

Originally, I chose to become a bandit because the character that represented it looked cool and because I liked the dark-theme to it. I made DB because it seemed similar to a bandit but with flashier skills and better mobility.

i picked bandit because its uncommon when i first played maplestory i saw a bandit hit 6x with SB and i wanted to do that
so i picked bandit and sins looked boring and i saw a NL hit 6x with shadow partner and triple throw then i wanted to delete my
bandit but then i saw a CB on youtube he hitted 30k-40k with ME and i said screw NL and i went back to bandit!
became a sin hater after level 50 when NW came out that made me mad oh well and DBs made it worst
Shadower>Dual Blade>NW>NL haha

Bandits because when this game was still relatively new, I looked up the bandit skills on the main website and saw Savage Blow: Six Slash Fury. Insta-love. That and they're the coolest class in the game.
Currently working on my gunslinger because it's so fun!

And I hate not having a TT medal

I didn't want to make a sin as my first character, but the dice roll made me. I don't regret it.

Took me a while to find a class I enjoyed. Started as a f/p mage, then made a dit and then stopped playing it. Made tons of other classes but didn't enjoy any as much as a dit so I remade since I love being an uncommon class and just loved the style and the way they trained.

Now that BB is coming, the class is becoming quite common, for all the wrong reasons which sucks but ahwell.

Savage Blow looked nice a long time ago. I hate it now, not the class but the attack.

made my guy 4 years ago all because of dragon roar. i watched a friend play and i was gona start playing soon when i saw a dragon pop out of someone and kill everything in HHG1 and im like OMG I WANNA DO THAT.

and then 4th jobs came out and i was still level 55. all the mages got a move like dragon roar except it does 10x more damage and looks 10x cooler.

Two blades. Flashy. Cool moves. Damage hoar. Thief Class. New Class.

Edit: I didn't read all of the post. Well anyways, they have two blades which I really like cause it reminds me of Shadowers 4th job. DKhanjar and Dagger combo.
And instead of waiting till 120 to look that cool. I can do it at level 20. They have flashy cool moves. Purple is my favorite color. And their damage is overpowered thus as the damage hoar I am. I was attracted to it right away. They're also a thief class and I love the miss miss miss miss sign. They were also a new class which made things fun and exciting.

Well now I'm still continuing my DB. Stop leveling for a bit because I want to upgrade my gears first. I also can't wait till new thief classes come out and after my DB gets to a higher level. I'll make a Shadower for fun. More like as a BoS mule since mine is currently level 7 and to have fun doing high damage since I can always share equips. I want my DB to be my ultimate main. For every event and what not that can raise its stats or make it stronger, only it will attend. And that's pretty much it for now. I can't wait to see the new skills.
