@gooddeals They have holy symbol haha. It took me 4 hrs from lvl 30 to 100.
Bishops are uh terrible bossers haha.
If I were you, go fire poison or ice lightning.
commenting so i will remember to make a bish when i get home
@xProHeal There was one f/p that i know who knew how to stack (@ZakumWep) but now she switch to i/l.
How is this even a topic. Bishop up to a high level then swap. Theres nothing in terms of training that can top a bishop's kit besides CL and maybe paralyze. FP doesnt have a chance in outleveling. Bishops will find parties like 5x faster (not even joking)
@lilnarutoboy I think they both do, not sure though. I said that though because I've met many FPs who didn't know to stack all the DoT skills from 2nd 3rd and 4th to make Myst Eruption do the most damage possible and then see them ponder why their FP isn't some OP god like some people make the class out to be.
Bishop/cleric would be the fastest to 200 out of the three mage classes
I agree with @natty2 say, depend on the play style.
@xProHeal : Both i/l and f/p do stack up to 5 i think (haven't been on my i/l for a long time), but its much easier for i/l since they do a lot more dps and they slow which give them a lot of time to attack from either far or short distance.
Almost every mob is killable easily by every class until DIPQ or SDH (And depending on your party lv at RJPQ). So therefore, the HS that comes with bishop makes it fast at lv 70+
Alrighty thanks for the input guys, ive decided to start off with bish then transit into either f/p or i/l when i hit 150 when i can dish out some damage
Bishops are by far easiest to level, you'll never have trouble finding a party because everyone wants you in theirs.
Training all three classes to at least 150 I would have to say that my bishop was the easiest to level the fastest post 3rd job. Shining Ray is a decent mob skill during 3rd job and the extra exp added from Holy Symbol helps out a ton. Spammable Big Bang in 4th job makes bishops an decent mobber during 4th job. One thing you should do, however, is get the Mihile link skill since mages have like 0 stance.
As for the IL compared FP question, I say FP is better. I never really cared for IL and just recently, like 2 days ago, got mine to 150. If you choose FP make sure you understand the simple concept of stacking your DPS skills before using Myst Eruption.
Those mages require knockback resist in order to boss efficiently. Them knockbacks can kill your dps.
@Sungoon: Bossing can be done on any class out there o:
It's a different playstyle for every class, however.
Saying one class doesn't fit to do a bossing job is a wrong statement, every class is a bossing class.
@Carve: But isn't the quality of the bossing session determined by the power of the player? O_o
In that case, it's subjective, and no class is "good" or "bad" at bossing, every person is on their own.
That's my opinion, at least.
They're not saying that Bishops aren't capable of bossing...they're saying that Bishops can boss, but many other classes can boss better.
Yeah, each person is their own, but if you were to compare a capping Kaiser with a Ryude's sword vs a capping Bishop with each player having good control at an end-game boss... who wins? Class differences..

@natty2
whoa dere, let's not argue
She's right; sure you can boss on a Bishop, it's just that its bossing facility isn't as good as those of F/Ps or NWs
@Carve: I beg to differ, I am a bishop and I am doing great at bossing. Judging who's meant to be bossing, and who's not isn't up to you, it's up to each and every person, when they pick their classes.
Yepyep! Amen.
F/Ps do cap very easily and their DPS is good and all, yet I still prefer I/L over F/P, personal preference! I don't like the play style of F/P one bit Also, hellux is annoying as a F/P and really easy as a I/L. The difference that little DPS does isn't actually that huge in the end. All 3 are really good
My recommendation is to just watch Youtube videos to see which playstyle fits you the best!

Bishops aren't TERRIBAD as bossers... its just takes more funds, and patience.
Bishops are actually hella fun to boss with since AR heals while we attack, and there's HMS to protect us, and let's be honest, Dispel is AWESOME.
Yea i plan on either one i just put bish in there incase they were faster to a certain level with hs
Really? I thought cleric/priest would be slowest to 4th since all they do is pretty much leech i have no idea on their solo performances
