Getting Tespia to Work
Hey guys, I've seen some confusion on how to properly download Tespia and how to get past the PIN screen. So, if you haven't realized by now, I'll try to help you guys log into the server.
[header][b]Firstly, Downloading the Client.[/b][/header]

If you're having trouble seeing that:
Step 1: Click 'Download,' on bottom left of the screen. [i]Don't download from 'Enter Tespia' or you'll be wasting time.[/i]
Go through the steps to downloading and installing the game. Once installation is complete -
Step 2: Make your way back to the Tespia website and boot the game from 'Enter Tespia.'
[i]You should be able to get the client up and running now![/i]
[header][b]Getting Past the PIN Screen.[/b][/header]
[i]//After getting a third try, I finally managed to get some pictures![/i]
This part seems to be giving the most trouble. Don't worry, it's really easy to get past this.

[b]DO NOT CLICK ANY FURTHER FROM NOW ON![/b]

[i]Answer? Really simple. As soon as you choose a channel, simply ALT+TAB -- before it connects -- back to desktop. Wait a few seconds. Go back to the client, and it should be ready for you to continue on with the guide! */[/i]
Once you connect to the server, [url=http://img192.imageshack.us/i/howitlooks.jpg/]the PIN screen should be popped out already.[/url] At this point you should just:
[i]//Make sure there is no blinking text line on the PIN screen before you start. If there is, something went wrong.[/i]
Step 1: [url=http://img43.imageshack.us/i/startleaf.jpg/]Press TAB until you see a Leaf appear on 'START.'[/url]
Step 2: [url=http://img402.imageshack.us/i/createchar.jpg/]Press the DOWN key to move the leaf to 'CREATE A CHARACTER.'[/url]
Step 3: Press ENTER.
Now you should be at the - 'RESISTANCE/EXPLORERS/DUAL BLADER/ETC' screen.

Step 4: Press ENTER.
Step 5: [url=http://img819.imageshack.us/i/areyousure.jpg/]When it asks you if you're sure to make the character, press ENTER.[/url]
Step 6: [url=http://img703.imageshack.us/i/charname.jpg/]Enter a name** and then press ENTER.[/url] (**You will be deleting this character most likely so don't be picky about a name just yet.)
Step 7: [url=http://img96.imageshack.us/i/charsettings.jpg/]Press ENTER when the CHARACTER SETTINGS window appears.[/url] (Once again, don't try to actually choose, just go with default.)

[b]You can use the mouse now.[/b]
[url=http://img708.imageshack.us/i/cancel2close.jpg/]You will probably be forced into the PIN window. Don't panic. Just restart the client. Simply click on Cancel or just ALT + F4.[/url]
Once you reboot the client, don't go straight to picking the world.

At this point you should have control over everything as the normal Maple Client. If you want to go and delete the character to make another you're able to now.

I can't get to install it It says it's corrupt... I downloaded twice already in different browsers first time on internet explorer (which sucks btw) and second on google chrome
what do i do know
It wont let me create a aran when i put in my pin it closes down
Disconnects wen i try to put in PIC.
When ever I try to get into the game, it says that I'm already logged in.
Haven't logged in since yesterday. Is this a glitch or was I hacked? o.o
Can anyone help with this problem?
Whenever i try to select a char i DC after i put in my pic..

The old PIN works only for some It didn't accept mine, but it MIGHT work. This was for the people that forgot their PIN or had the same problem I had.

Anyways,they did fix this in the CvP 2 Tesipa, but this does still help.
For future reference, it accepted my pin from the old days of the official server when I had the pin problem on my mule account.
Thought that might be useful for the next session.
If the client keeps closing when you pick a channel, chances are you're "locked out" for failing on trying to remember the PIN. Just wait it out.

It can be a few things, it depends on your computer's settings and programs.

That just means you're "locked" out. Give it a few minutes, then try again.
@ImBored808: If you remembered the PIN stuff, you can use the mouse.
However, since you came into this thread I'm assuming you don't remember the PIN. I don't believe there's a way to choose between Resistance/Adventurer/etc without a mouse -- although I could be wrong. But since you can't change your look later on because of the lack of mouse, I recommend just going with the Default. Chances are you'll delete the character because you don't find it aesthetically pleasing.
You can make any class. Once you have access to the account it's the exact same as normal MS.
People having trouble downloading, uninstall any previous Tespia and delete the Tespia folder inside the Nexon folder. Also clear any cookies/cache from your browser and re-download.
Assuming the patcher doesn't work. I'm not sure if the auto-patch that's up works, since this thread was for the .97 version.
I finished the download client, the one under the blue button. Then once it's done scanning for viruses it says Unkown error has occured . I just waited three hours and now it doesnt work. I'm using windows 7
The Install client I downloaded does not work, any help? D:

I just got back from ma holiday and download Tespia, blowing 1/5 of our 10gig cap
I try to play it, but for some strange reason, the world it full
So not only am I not allowed to do some testing (which, unlike most tespians, I actually do) I have basically used my net allowance (family of 4, we get 2.5gig a month each)
You can't "get in" to Tespia, you can only have been invited.

Some people don't remember their PIN though. Also, I entered my PIN and for some reason it didn't work. Afterwards, I tried every possible PIN I would use and none worked.

I wouldn't know. Once I got disconnected a while back I haven't tried to get back on. Going to sleep soon so not bothering.

Yeah. I think you need to delete NGMsomethinghere.dll as it was listed in the NGM error log.

I got this error, but not sure how I fixed it. Though this is what I did.
Downloaded it with Chrome but got the error, then tried it with FireFox and deleting some NGM files.
Try going to %temp% and delete all NGM related files. (NGM = Nexon Game Manager)
To access %temp% press Win + R then type in %temp%

I'm a little confused with the first part. You finish downloading, and run what you just downloaded -- MSSetupTv97? Then a bit after the installation starts it gives you the error?
If so try again and try to do as minimal stuff as you can while downloading. If downloading on your current computer keeps corrupting the file, try another computer.

You need to be invited. Sending you back to the official site just means you didn't make it.

You test the new stuff being added. For example, this time around is the anniversary stuff. So anything having to do with the anniversary, like the Balloon PQ, Puzzle Pieces, the Maple items, etc. If you happen to stumble across a bug that doesn't have to do with the new content, report those too. Also, if you know of bugs in the official version and can replicate it on Tespia, report that to.
Lastly, no hacking. There's no need to hack in this game. Much less on Tespia.

Try closing the client, and going back to the Official site. Log out, and log back in. Go back to the Tespia site via the link in the "Tespia in now OPEN!" And start up the client from "Enter Tespia" again. If it stills asks for another Log in during the client, restart the computer. o.O

Log in screen on the client itself? o.O That doesn't sound right.
Starting the client from the Tespia site means you're logged in already and don't need to re-enter that info. When choosing a channel, single click the channel and click once on "Move to the Selected Channel." As soon as you click, ALT+TAB out of the client. Wait a few seconds, if you can and want a few minutes. Go back to the client after time has passed, and [url=http://img402.imageshack.us/i/createchar.jpg/]it should look something like this.[/url] Characters' silhouette overlapping the PIN screen.

That means you triggered the PIN screen. I added a way to stop Maple's "attention" from going to the PIN screen.

I tried getting it reset but it only affected my gMS. You can't even change directly from client since you NEED the PIN to change it.
As I said, if you have another computer, that's probably your best bet if you're having trouble with the PIN being triggered automatically.

Try entering your old PIN if you remember. Else, if you have another computer I would try that.

you need to redownload the file that means that your download ended early and didn't get the whole file

I finally got tespia to work o3o but of curse SADLY every time i try to log into a channel it says.. "Trouble logging in? Try logging in from Maplestory.net"
And i have tried re clicking for over 10min and over about.. 1000+ clicks (Psh ya i counted D
