It is legal to kill someone as quotrevengequot?
Like, if someone killed someone/people who you knew, and you retaliated by killing them back, is that legal?
Look at the scenario:
Person A confronts you and your family. Person A shoots your family; you are left spared. But you confront and fight back, and manage to get the gun. You kill Person A [not necessarily as a form of self-defense, but for "revenge"].
Would this hold as "just" and "legal" in court?

If your friend/companion killed your family and you killed your friend/companion for revenge, you both get arrested either way.
Nope, that's illegal
no its not self defense.
revenge is not protected by the law.
Although I know nothing of the legal system (ResidentSleeper much?), I'm pretty sure if you told the judge you disarmed them but you still killed them just for revenge you would be charged for something LOL. Prison would be a lot worse than death anyways IMO although I would probably shoot the person out of blind anger if I was put in that scenario.
That scenario is completely legal, if someone breaks into your house and shoots your family you obviously have the right to defend you and your home, you can kill them. It doesn't matter if they pose a literal physical threat in the present moment, the mere fact of them killing your family is reasonable grounds to suspect they have intentions of doing you harm and you'd be allowed to defend yourself from that.
Now if they killed your family and went home and you knew where they lived and you pre-meditatively tracked them down and went to their house and killed them instead of calling the cops, then yes that is 1st degree murder.
no. but in some countries like saudi arabia, the family of the victim can carry out the execution.

First one is, but self defense is not. In the US, you have more self defense freedom.
Definitely 100% legal, go and take care of business dawg. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Not in my country. Our laws pretty much side with the perpetrator. >.<
if you are under threat, you can take necessary force.
should be legal, but im pretty positive its not
