This is also a stupid question. Distance is not the deciding factor of skin color nor was it what I was implying: temperature (or more importantly UV rays) are. The more UV rays present, the darker your skin needs to be in order to absorb them. Africa is near the equator, therefore, it experiences more UV rays and you need darker skin.

White people on average have much larger noses than black people so I don't know where you're getting your logic. Black people tend to have larger nostrils but as far as sheer size of the noses go, white people followed by asians have larger noses.

Second, you will get a larger nose if you live higher up in altitude or the quality of your air is more poor. You need wider nostrils to increase the surface area for vacuuming air into your nose and a longer nose (like white people) to filter out unwanted things in the air. This also applies to asians and their huge nostrils. The higher altitudes mean they need more air to compensate for lower levels of oxygen in the air.
