Is it me or are FPs weak?

I find my FP pretty weak, beyond sad. I even tried funding him and still fail.
I have:
Targa hat
Evo ring 2 17
Evo ring 3
6% int earrings
117 att wand
10 and 18 blessings
Everything else isnt worth mentioning.

4k range total

I know my equips are below average. My Paralyze hits 15k per line. Trying to get Silent crusade medals to help it. Suggestions on helping my range without being very costly is appreciated.

Probably because your range is a joke and your Luk is way higher than it is supposed to be. Go get at least 3% Int on all of your equips and you'll see results. It can easily be done under 100m.

Go with friends when you can because it'll speed you up and get you a little more EXP. I would also recommend that you go to MP daily and pick up the 5 coupons so in case you do decide to spam it, you'll have plenty of coupons to go around.

Man, I really want to try out Monster Park now. I'm doing an AP World History Summer Assignment </3. Right now, each level, I upgrade Buff Master, Paralyze, and ME each by 1. I finally got both Romeo and Juliet pendants, but my Romeo pendant gives 3%int. Should I put these 2 pendants together or keep wearing Romeo?

I also have level 18 blessing from my KOC mule.

I voted 'it's just you', but I later realized that I was doing 60k per para around your level, which is 15k x 4 now. I used to have 70 luk.
You just need to slowly (or quickly, if funds are available) upgrade. Buff Mastery and maxing the attacking skills help.

MoN is the best pendant in the game unless you have a high %mainstat HTP/CHTP. Or also if the HTP helps you equip a weapon that's noticeably better than your current one.
@Ouhai Thanks for the tip. Explains everything to the fullest. Too bad I didn't do this during the 2x

You guys have helped me so much. I will not delete this character. I will try Monster Park for equips (hope for %int) and Rextons. I only need 4 marbles of each side, good thing I kept them instead of trading for a horus eye (before PQ revamp).

Btw, isn't the MoN better? I know it got removed a while ago, but I heard it came back.
I'm pretty sure it's your normal gear. Definitely try to get some free stuff with monster park, some drops, or craft your own things. Also try to get a decent necklace, like form the MPQ.

Oh and if you want some advice in making some money from hunting, I'll tell you what I did! (and this is coming from the guy who was bankrupt for the longest time. Even now, I'm only moderately and acceptably geared!)

Train at rextons until the exp/drop decrease by level kicks in!

Why? Well for a couple of reasons:

-They are weak to POISON. Meaning, spamming paralyze at them is actually awesome! You'll hit harder on them compared to everything else, meaning you can kill them fairly quickly! To make matters more awesome, not only they are weak to paralyze but the DoT of paralyze is also stronger on them and the fact that they get "frozen" makes it less strain on the pot usage

-Use the unagis they drop! Seriously, this is by far the most awesome, cost effective thing you can do. Why? Well because around your level or so, you shouldn't have a whole lot of HP anyway. And since unagis recover 1k hp, why not? On top of that, the rextons seem to drop unagis fairly commonly! Meaning combined with the less pot usage of being able to immbolize things, you don't have to use as many HP recovery stuff and will actually stockpile on them! Of course, this doesn't entirely remedy the MP portion though but nowadays it can be more or less helped by a Jr. Boogie familar to reduce the amount of MP pots used too. But I'd suggest to keep some hp/mp recovery stuff like eliers or NLC pots on standby for when things get too hectic.

-Loot ALL the things!.....though recent times, their drops aren't as good as they used to be (I was training here at lvl126-138 way before LHC, Ascension and Chaos came out. Back then they used to drop extreme treasures like black crystal ores pretty frequently and the coveted triple throw 20 book!). But nevertheless, don't let that get to you! They've still got some decent stuff to spare, I mean you got your random archer, warrior, theif gear, some random recipies, mystery mastery books, sun rise dews (these are awesome to npc since they are worth like 4k a pop. Stockpile a lot and they net you a hefty sum) decent scrolls used by somewhat common classes (2h sword for heros, katars for dbs, and dual guns for mercs). And then there is the etc drops. Keep in mind that NPCing the rexton leathers are worth like 200 mesos or something. If you managed to stockpile on like 1000 of them, that is a passive 200k earned right there along with the random other loot and mesos you picked up. And this become an overall more awesome experience if you come hero during 2xp/drop! Because not only do the amount of exp gained form them increases but so do the amount of mesos dropped and items too! Now what makes this different from looting better monsters? Well remember how I said how these guys are very cost effective to grind at because of the low pot consumption? That means basically the amount of money you get via looting will more or less be untouched (since you don't have to spend as much of the funds to repot)

Now things to keep in mind is that
-it's slower than LHC (because I was training here when LHC didn't even exist so it WILL take longer)
-they generally don't drop mage equips aside from the random mage recipes.

Overall, it's not the best money maker but it is a nifty thing you can do if you need to survive if you were as horribly bankrupt as I was and don't have the willpower or confidence to merch.

@pancakes030 Thanks, your suggestions are very helpful. For some reason, I'm ineligible for rating for some reason
@Jumegaltean I've papped on my 143 mercedes 1 to 2 times a day for a month now and still haven't gotten anything useful except for a few level 100 equips. Any other bosses I should try?

Remember when dmg didn't even matter for a fp until 4th job.. good times.

Anyway, TS, instead of getting a bunch of expensive stuff like people are suggesting, I'd go for easy things to get first. Like the neo city time traveler medal. The quest were fairly easy for me (considering I'm 157). Also, collect renegades coins & try to get the 120 staff. It only takes 6 pink zak runs to get 85 coins, so it's really easy to get. It gives 140 m.atk too. Try to get other things from the renegades shop too, like scrolls. They're all free Another thing you could try doing is monster park & collect equips & sell them. They all come with pot so they'll go for at least 1mil each. While you're at it, collect the monster park coins & get the mustache. It gives 5m.atk.

That's all that came from the top of my head. Good luck
@Dorks: I'm not going to ditch my FP. I'll just wait for an event with a full AP reset. I guess i'll go back professions. I have alchemy on that character and a crafting mule.
@ImKafei: How is killing monsters and collecting mesos hardest? I do pick up mesos and that's how I have my money. I've tried merching but I ended up losing money. Bad with guessing value of items. I can squeeze a few dollars here and there, but what do I do with it? I've heard cubing is bad most of the time.
Out of the 3 methods I've listed, collecting mesos from monster drops is by far the slowest method of making a profit. If you end up losing money while merching then you are probably not very good at it. You don't "guess" value of items. You do your research by talking to people and living inside the FM, and learning the prices by yourself. It's tough but it can be very rewarding.
Cubing is a waste of money; I'm talking about going to websites and buying pre-cubed/scrolled items via $$. A lot of players with high damage use this method, I guarantee you. I'm not going to name any websites since doing so will warrant a suspension on my part.

@Ravens: True, I used to have a pet kargo with Mesomagnet, but the mesomagnet expired and my kargo ran out of water of life. At least i made the most of it. I'm pretty sure that there are better ways of using nx to make mesos instead of a pet.

Its just you >.< things I suggest:
cloths: since you have a TON of luk and you won't be able to get rid of it soon go monster park (or craft if you want @_@... but it wastes mesos) for %int gear.
wep: get the best staff from the renegades shop, they have nice stats and from my experience they come out epic

Overall do not spend a single meso until you get nice stuff i.e. empress

Your FP is weak because you have way too much LUK and you have horrific items
Here are some ways to make money so you can upgrade your range, from easiest to hardest:
- Use real $.
- Become an FM merchant.
- Kill monsters and collect their mesos.

Just ditch your f/p for a new one. These days 100 luk is kind of bad ._.
And int% stuff is cheap, in terms of alchemy items such as sneakers and half earrings.
Yeah you don't really have that much money to fund any char. I suggest you either remake him with less base luk and or start merching to make some mesos.
If your not willing to do that than you might as well not care about damage
I don't mind remaking characters but this was my first character ever. I have spent money on getting perma cs equips and I can't just leave this character behind. I'd hate to pay $15 for a full AP reset, probably possible if nexon responded to my 3 year old ticket.

Don't feel too bad. I have 100 base LUK as well. Didn't have much of a choice back then since we didn't have LUKless weapons (until the first level 35/43 Maple weapons came out).
