Maplestory have stopped responding

whenever I log onto any of my chars, i start to get massive lag, then after about 3min maplestory just stops responding all together. This started about the same time as the exploit was discovered or around when the 2nd week of the family comes first medal started.
I have tried restarting my comp, tried launching from site and gamelauncher and i have reinstalled the game, checked fire walls, and mostly everything else, nothing seems to be working. I am playing on a Win 7 Ultimate computer.
Please Help
