Halo 4 is stupid, stupid, stupid, and more stupid. It was very obvious if you played the Halo 3 legendary ending, that Master Chief was still alive, and the series was ending on a cliffhanger, like it should. I'm done with Halo, stuff's overdone now. I'll still buy it though because I'm that kind of person.

What I'm happy for is the Combat Evolved remake. When I was little, I think I capped over 3 days into that game, and I was seven and only played the campaign.

I was shocked to see that there really would be a new halo. I was dissapointed to know that it ended as a cliffhanger so it was awesome to hear they will continue the story.
So was Nintendo's next console...The Wii U

I still have no idea what the hell it is.

It's not a new console just an add-on to the wii pretty much.
As I said in a previous thread... this is pretty pathetic.

It seems like all Microsoft can do is take their only two major IPs (Gears and Halo), release one each year and that's all they need to do to satisfy their fanbase.
2011 is Gears 3
2012 is Halo 4
More than likely 2013 will be Gears 4 and so-on in that alternating pattern.

Other than "We got Haloz", all Microsoft announced was Kinect-related garbage that pretty much nobody cares about.

It honestly feels like Microsoft's entire business plan is to focus on Kinect for the forseeable future and when it comes to their non-casual audience, all they'll say is "Just give 'em Halo/Gears - that'll shut 'em up".

Normally, I'd be laughing at the fanboys... wasting a lot of money on such a lazy company... but as a gamer, I just feel bad for you guys. If I was in your position, I'd be outraged... and I'm surprised that so few of you are.

Long story short - Microsoft's E3 conference was lazy and insulting.
When you have something good you tend to continue with it. This would be the equivalent of me telling Nintendo to stop with Mario and Zelda games.

Well it goes to show you Microsoft has a hard time trying to make good exclusive games.
They need to bring a good, fresh idea to the table.

PS3 Has Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, InFamous 2, The Last Guardian, Twisted Medal, Starhawk, and probably much better exclusives that I just can't remember right now.
Come on Microsoft, start showing them some competition, enough Halo and Gears.

That's kind of... beside the point...
Yes, but can you be satisfied being entertained by one game for an entire year before they bring something else out?

If you took away multi-console titles, that's essentially what's happening here. 1 game a year... on a $200 console with a $40 to $50 yearly online fee. Comparing that to the competition and it's just ridiculous.

It honestly does not show confidence within the company... that they can do the bare minimum and get away with it... that they simply don't care about their consumers enough to show any creativity or effort.
I'm pretty excited about it since I thought the Halo series was over.*

I dont care if they keep doing this. They keep making good games, then im happy. Shouldn't we all, you can judge the company all you want but until you do it, you can't say much. Microsoft is a gigantic company juggling more than just games. They have things to do and people meet, but they can still satisfy the gaming community. I'm happy as a player that halo 4 is coming, why would be angry. A great game is getting another sequel. Just i means i can play it more.
pretty big prediction you have going there. you shouldn't take it so seriously...i mean telling us won't make any difference lawl..
It's not really that big of a predicition... they've been alternating these titles yearly for a little bit now. There are only two ways this prediction would fall through:

1) Gears of War ends on 3 (but seeing as Halo 3 was originally supposed to be the end, I'd see Microsoft finding a way to bring it back)
2) Halo becomes a yearly franchise - which often falls into the trap of being low-quality.

EDIT: @oreeeeeeo - it's less "siding with the PS3" than not siding with Microsoft. I've never had much respect for Microsoft as a gaming company and this just inspires less condience. Ultimately, I support the Wii and PS3 in the home consoles, the DS in portibles (though don't have any qualms with the PSP) and dabble in the PC market as well.
