Im buying Starcraft 2

So i'm buying starcraft 2 just for fun. So i was wondering how many of you here play starcraft? Rather have played, did you like it? In the beginning were you terrible because i played a few games on my friends account who already owns the game. he pretty much gave me a quick basic guide then put me into a multiplayer match and i did terribly... I played 5 games in total and got demolished every single time.
So, pretty much what has been your experience with it?

I just got it, and I'm trying to get out of Bronze ladder. Currently, I'm rank 1 bronze with 14 win streak right now but they still didn't promote me :v
PM Me if you wanna play
Starcraft 2 has been a blast since day one. It is true that you'll do pretty badly your first dozen games or so, but that's normal. New players should mostly stick to the team multiplayer matches instead of 1v1. In the team matches you can afford to lose a lot and still have your team pull a win for you. You have MUCH more time to build up your army to 200/200 and have huge large scale battles. 1v1s are where the real competitive SC2 matches go on, and if you are intimidated or just not that kind of player you don't need to go there. 1v1s focus largely on economy and staying ahead of your opponent etc, one small slip up can cause you to lose easily. Custom games are also fun because there's such a variety of them the possibilities are almost endless. SC2 has a lot to offer if you look in the right places. If you go play SC2 because you think about being some sort of MLG superstar... Much rage and frustration will ensue.

Personally, I'm not that good at SC2. I play for the fun of it though. My ranking would probably be classified as silver, top bronze, or low gold. It's around that area. It's a recreational game for me and I enjoy it from time to time. You should watch youtube videos of gameplay and match rundowns or read anything from TeamLiquid. You'll have a lot more fun if you know what you're doing.

Again if you know basic early game openers or builds you can mix them up to your liking or whatever suits you the best once you know more about the game.
6 pool rush is utilized by playing Zerg and getting a spawning pool (200 minerals) at 6/10 supply followed by drones (economy) and overlord (to increase supply) and sending zerglings (weakest tier 1 unit) to get into enemy base and either cripple their economy or destroy everything (if things turn out well for you) before they can wall up the entrance.

A worker rush is just ridiculous because it means sending your workers in from the get-go and hoping to end the game with.. Just workers. It CAN be done because I've done it. It's hilarious if it works and it's borderline stupid.

MMM= Marines/Medivacs/Marauders, use the link someone gave.

Enough talking though. I hope you have fun on SC2. See you there.
I am genuinely pleased that you took the time write that. i plan on pretty much just playing with friends and playing casually. Also, maybe when I get the game and get some practice in i'll send you a pm. also thanks for telling me about teamliquid. Anyway thanks

Everyone is terrible their first ~25 games.
