Does bootcamp work well?

My PC Laptop recently broke. so i bought my dream laptop, A macbook pro. I absolutely love it. only problem is i cannot play my favorite game Maplestory. so i've been looking into bootcamp. So i was wondering if there are any bootcamp users out there. Perhaps give me some tips? is it laggy? will it work well enough with maplestory?
Thanks in advance. Also i do not want to hear your mac hate. so don't bother
They both serve the same purpose (i.e. getting Windows on a Mac).
By attempting to compare the performance of a multi-boot to a virtual computer, you did compare an apple to an orange. The methods by how they word are entirely different, the purpose of each are different, and each have their own respective description.

Boot Camp is an Apple tool to streamline the setup and execution of multi-boot partitions. Dual boot OSs run natively on the host hardware in contrast to the emulated environment that a VM creates. The guest OS in the VM will always run slower than if it were to operate natively due to the overhead caused by the host OS and the inherent limitations of software emulated environments. Dual boots are most commonly used by home computer enthusiasts (Linux users commonly) and software developers working on multiple OS platforms. Virtual machines are also used by software developers working on multiple OS platforms, but the advantage of multiple independently operating guest OSs can make servers more efficient such as by diversifing their tasks or handling multiple clients that would not be possible on one single OS.
have you ever heard of faulty comparisons? you compared bootcamp with vm. it's the same as comparing apples and oranges.

after installing windows on bootcamp, would i need to do anything else besides install maple to play?
Boot Camp should install the Macbook's Window OS drivers automatically. You are all set after that's finished.
I know. I just said that Boot Camp works better than virtual machines. I never implied that Boot Camp was a VM.
ot: i'm also interested on the topic at hand. after installing windows on bootcamp, would i need to do anything else besides install maple to play?
I installed it with my friend on his Macbook. It runs really smoothly, a lot better than any VM.
Boot Camp is not a VM.

It's too easy in OS X Lion.

It's not laggy. It works fine with Maplestory.
