What am I supposed to max? i have all but yellow aura, quad atk thingy and chains.

There's a quest that Brighton gives you when you're lvl 30+ and 2nd job. It's pretty short, and he gives you 7 SP upon completion. That 7 extra SP lets you max all your 2nd job skills as well, but if you're just that amazingly lazy then leave Hyper Chain at 13.
Well if you do the alliance quests you get 7 more SP so you can max everything in 2nd job, but if you can't be bothered to do that then don't max chains.
