Is it good if
I play games on a laptop?
I mean it is a brand new Vaio I got with Windows 8, and I wondered if something like sims 3 could reduce the PC's performance, or what should I do to prevent something like that?
I don't know much about computer tech, and yes I play the sims because it helps me develop my creativity.

Just don't download junk onto your computer.
Nope, it won't reduce the performance. It's what a computer is designed for.
Usually a computer will slow down only if there's too many background processes. Basically don't install stuff you don't need
And if your head drive gets really full. Like less than 1% space left.
Basically close whatever program you don't need to have running and keep the number of programs that startup at boot low.
