You can log-out multiple times to get a different selection of items from the Log-Out Event. (Try it on different characters within that account each time.) Just close MapleStory with Task Manager.

No one has yet reported getting a hair color change coupon.
Note that once you log back in to receive the item you picked (which you have to do), the item that gets added to your Cash Inventory has an expiration date of 30 days, excluding things like the 1day 2x Drop Special Coupon, which expires in 1 day. So you have to use it before then, or it will expire, as did my Maple Life A.
To receive the event, you have to have logged in at least once within the event period. Then, leave the account inactive for longer than two weeks. Try for three weeks. (I know it is not longer than that, as I have received gifts multiple times without leaving the account inactive for too long.) There seems to be other requirements--maybe it is all random--but I have not figured it out yet.

It actually gives you a choice of 3 items when you log out. I got kerning city exp lol
