Maplestory Server Populations
I've noticed around Khaini that the usually densely populated maps are not being occupied as much, like FM entrance channel 1, Ardentmill, etc. Now I am aware that everyone has their own timezone but shouldn't that not affect the populations of high traffic areas in a server? Khaini is one of the "standalone" worlds along with Scania, Broa, Windia, and Bera. I have players in Scania, Windia, and Bera, and from what I've seen their servers are pretty well populated. So I have two questions here:
1. For the worlds that have been allianced (CYMK/Bellonova/GAZED) Are your populations somewhat consistent throughout the day?
2. For people who've played in or have experienced Khaini, do you feel that there aren't enough people there and it's cost you in some way (PQs, Trades, Parties, etc)?

Considering that GAZED is FIVE separate worlds blended together, it says something about the population of those five individual worlds that had to be combined to even come close to being as large as Bera.
Nexon went wild adding servers, probably in anticipation of a huge influx of new players that never materialized, and ended up having to take most of them back out eventually so they wouldn't look so embarrassingly empty.

I think the previous record was something like 70,000 players online at the same time, back when Big Bang was released (been a while since I looked for those reports).
The total these days is a fraction of what it used to be.
It's even worse when you look at the total population of individual servers.
Before the GAZED alliance was created it wasn't unusual for there to be something like 313 people playing in an entire world.

Well the game was nowhere near having the population of Runescape, and Runescape just had that big new update. But Maple's population is getting lower and lower and the game is slowly drying up.

Well with the removal of server transfers and the fact that no new worlds have been created lately, I think it's just that the population is declining or players are losing interest and not logging as often as they used to.

You do have a point there. I sure hope it's soon, maybe they'll pair Tempest with Broa and Khaini haha.

With the Maplestory population continuing to dwindle, I'll bet we see more "alliances" announced in the future.
It doesn't make financial sense for Nexon to be running server equipment for a smaller and smaller group of players when they could consolidate more worlds and just shut off some of the computers.
Probably just a matter of time before your world is allianced too.

I really want to transfer to a more populated world but I have 15 characters, NX, and the three remaining friends I have on my BL :S
