Big Spider Familiar

I was wondering if the Big Spider Familiar is a good investment. Your opinions?
Also, how do familiars work? Does the amount of orbs determine how effective the effect is or does the number of orbs determine how long it lasts? What happens when vitality reaches 0? Does the big spider "die" and you have to buy the familiars again? If it doesn't die, how long does it take for it to "revive"?

Anyone know how effective a Leprechaun familiar is at increasing meso drop rate..?
I got one in a booster pack a while ago and was thinking about using it on one of my characters, but I don't know if it'd be worth it or not.

Just buy 1 and see how it goes. I can usually get through an Evo world session with my 1 orb spider. You could just try it and use the extra drops from having it to fund buying another spider card if you think you need it.

Get 2. The spider attacks slowly so it lasts for a while. I barely squeak by evo 30 minutes with one orb, but with two it's quite comfortable. 3 is just if you feel like completing it, mostly.
When a familiar runs out of vitality (from attacking), it doesn't "die". It auto desummons. U then must wait around 10 minutes for the vitality to fully charge. U cannot summon a familiar that has less than full vitality.

Mutant pig recovers the hp and mp of party members by a large amount every 10 seconds. It also dishes out decent damage for a familiar and is quite uncommon. The price can range to a few hundred mil depending on the seller.
If you have 500m then you are fine to buy it, 1/3 depends on how lazy you are as in how often you want to refresh you familiar. If you plan to farm in places like evo room you should buy 3 or 1 big spider and 1 mutant pig.

Yes it's a VERY good investment. I have it on always when I boss or for anything that has potentially good drops. A +60% Drop buff for like 5-10m is an amazing investment.

1. Familiar vitality does not go down unless it is attacking.
2. The more orbs it has, the longer it will stay out (max is 3 orbs).
3. The Big Spider won't "die", it'll just go back inside your Crusader Codex. You have to wait for the vitality to recover, and then you can summon it back out again. Or, if your familiar's vitality is running out, you can change channels or go into the Cash Shop, re-summon the familiar, and its vitality will be 100% again (the familiar has to be out and summoned, though, in order to get that automatic 100% vitality refill).

Orbs are how long it lasts. Gotta wait for it to recover, which should be the same amount of time regardless of how many orbs. CC'ing while it's summoned will also reset the vitality, but unsummoning will not.

It's a pretty good investment, I think.
