Purpose of Gb

Hi guys. I'm getting a Wii U this summer and I am planning to get Mario Kart 8 and then in December I am planning to get Super Smash Bros 4.

My question is "What type of Wii U should I get?"
Does the GB amount impact much of my gaming capabilities? If I only plan to get those two games, would i be fine with the 8gb standard Wii U?
What purposes have you guys used your Wii U for that has required a lot of GB/data?

@hgvd Well, the purpose of the GB is used for practically everything put onto your console. The biggest thing though, for long term console use, save data starts to add up. Between the 4 games that have save data on my console they take up about half a gigabyte (600 MB). So if you get a couple of dozen games saved onto your console, you may get close to 8GB. And if you plan to get any add-ons to the games you play those need space on the hard drive, as do downloaded games/demos, retro titles, apps, etc.

But, if you only get those 2 games and nothing else, 8GB is way more than enough, so you're okay.

some downloadable games can take up a whole 8 gb. I have 32 gb deluxe and resident evil revelations took up 12 gb.

The GB means nothing if you are playing games like normally by inserting discs since the data is stored in the disc and only accessed by the processor. The GB only limits the amount of downloadable content like retro games and stuff you can store on your console. (I think that the save files for games like SSB4 are negligible compared to 8 gigs but im not sure).
