Lots of people do do that. I see spec x rac masks anvil'ed a lot.

Also, specs are more rare, so people collect them and like to show them off. It's the same for the rare bandanas, which have no real worthwhile stats. It's just because they're rare.

Because specs are more of a collector item than rac, and there aren't as many around so it's more cooler

use special or advanced (take the risk, cmon) potential scroll to add hidden pot, automatic price increase

A lot of the time they're used for potential. People will add pot and cube the clean specs, usually.
Normally used for looks, yeah, but it's silly.
And, right now, there are those "attack for accessory" scrolls given out from the dragon for the Chinese New Year. I haven't tried myself, but you should be able to use them on specs (eye accessory), right?
Or some people will just add +2 luk or something. Who knows? Every little bit of stats ups the value.

I think he meant no slots/stats. I see them going for 300-400m.

Clean specs sell for 600m-ish. Sometimes I see for 500m, sometimes 700m.
