Maplestory is a game. The purpose of the game is to have fun and this is achieved 1 way by making the majority of customers happy with goodies

I personally like everything except for those manly shorts/jeans so my chars will be in their underwear since they wear overalls anyway. Some people prefer not to pay money for pixels that only last 90 days, so this is a really generous event for those people. Instead of being greedy and asking for whatever you want, why can't you be happy that they're giving away something in the first place?

It's not a bad thing that Nexon's stupidly giving away free ([i]permanent and untradeable[/i] ) NX items... it's that they're doing it without any sense of coordination whatsoever. Just look at what they're offering and tell me if there's more than one thing in any of those sets that you'd actually like to get and wear on a regular basis. Out of those four reward packages, I can immediately see what everyone wants: Ice Cold Red, Shadow Style, Dollish Pink and/or Return of Angel Wing... and that's it. Four items out of the twenty-five or so they're giving out... personally, that's not even worth working for. I can buy those for as long as I want to own them and not even put a huge dent in my pocket...

...but it'd be much better if, for the hoops they're expecting you to jump through, they gave out 5~10,000 Maple Points per week and invented some sort of 'duration removal' scroll or coupon. Four of those for the month, then at the end, an extra bonus of 5~10,000 Maple Points and a few more 'duration removal' scrolls to anyone who fully completed all four weeks of attendance. That way, we can get what we want with no gripes or complaints and whoever misses out, misses out.

I mean, it's "Makeover Month", according to Nexon. Why can't we give ourselves the makeover to look how we want to instead of how they tell us to?

This is not a stupid decision because:
1) It increases player satisfaction and gives those who don't spend money on NX a chance to enjoy perm decorative items. Ie. Good thing for us players
2) Based on what you're saying it won't be a bad decision because it'll work like reverse psychology. To be unique, players who spend money on NX are going to have to buy other, more diverse, items than the ones every player has. These items could be cheaper or more expensive, but the point is the more diverse items would catch people's eyes and would inspire others to buy NX items. It'll work like a chain reaction. Ie. Profit for nexon
