You may be able to get mystery books in ems, but you won't find any spell traces in our evolution lab store.

@hangwithhung : I believe Hayato have 100% critrate using the level 198 hyper skill and Issen.

I don't think anybody mentioned this, but you can also get Mastery Books and Spell Traces from the Evolution Lab. It can take a little while, especially for the books, but there isn't a limit to how many books or traces you can get there.

@hidoshi94: Yea, you could go main hall/bleak hallway until 120-150 or so.
After that dim light would be preferred if you have enough damage to kill the mobs there quickly.
The dim light mobs do stun a lot though, so it would be a good idea to max the status resistance buff so you (nearly) never get stunned.

Ems doesn't have spell traces in the SC store (yet). I'm not sure what patch this was added in Gms, it would be lovely if someone remembers c:

MP3 isn't revamped in Ems, it's a nice spot to grind from 60/70-100 though. After that you can enjoy Veracent up to level 165-173.

You might also want to make a few other characters for the link skills. Get them to 120, which shouldn't take too long, and requires no mastery books for the purposes of making it a mule.

This and bosses should give you enough coins to get roughly 20k spell traces in just a week or so, which sell in the FM for quite a bit.. but again this only works if EMS has spell traces (which I think they do).

haven't seen any cheap %STR stuff as you mentioned, only good stuff sold in merchants... hard to get my hands on anything interesting

I saw that I can start on silent crusade, will get right to it. What about LH Castle, which is the minimum level? So goes for Scarlion/ Targa prequests?

Was MP3 revamped in EMS as well? Somebody told me I can grind there (when I was lvl 95, am 109 right now)

I believe the prequest for scarlion itself also gives you a 20 book.

Silent Crusade, Lionheart Castle, Grand Aeternaum, Cptn Latanica (MP3), Krexel, Golden Temple all give you Mastery Book 20/30's.

There are a few questlines like Silent Crusade and Lionheart castle that give you a free 100% book once you complete it.
Apart from that your best bet would be mystery mastery books until you can kill Scarlion and Targa (and possibly Krexel if you feel like it) so you can get old books to trade in for 100% books at the maple admin npc.
