What is Pdr

So I know that its ignore enemys defence by x% but what does this mean? If I have 15% PDR will I be hitting 15% higher? o.o

@xXjarakudaXx: PDR is actually glitched up right now, you don't actually have 200% (if you're reading it off the UI)

There comes a point by the way, where the damage changes become VERY hard to notice because their so small; with like 160% PDR you can even make it so Cygnus only reduces your damage by a mere 6%

@lazershock: I have 200% ignore, But I still hit the same or more damage then I used to on mobs and bosses.
I've heard defense ignore stayed as additive for unleashed for gms.
It shows as additive in the UI window, but it is infact multiplicative (much to my annoyance =P)

@Sungoon: Yeah; I showed an example calculation with the new formula in my second post (specifically I did it for Cygnus)
I've had people confuse it for Physical damage reflection and Magical damage reflection too XD (which are of course ENTIRELY different)
I actually said in my first post that its called defense ignore and some people just call it PDR =P
True, but it's not really correct, PDR and MDR stand for Physical Damage Reduction and Magical Damage Reduction, respectively
50 PDR means the enemy Reduces your Physical Damage by 50%. And same for MDR
Here's the new formula for Ignore DEF:
1 - (1 - Source1) * (1 - Source2) * (1 - Source3) * (1 - SourceEtc) = Ignore DEF Total
Guys, you're mixing up PDR for Ignore DEF. You can have Ignore DEF, which ignores PDR and MDR on enemies.

Wait, but if having 100% PDR mean taking away 100% of the 40 defense? And that would mean you CAN reach 100% defense ignore? I'm confused.
It actually calculates it like this now: say you have 30% from leafre codex set, 50% from an attacking skill, 40% from a passive skill and 10% from ambition, lets say the mob has 70 defense (like Hillia, Cygnus, etc) (130% total basically)
going from highest amount to lowest
70 x .50 = 35
35 x .40 = 21
21 x .30 = 14.7
14.7 x .10 = 13.2

As you can see even with over 100% defense ignore, a boss like Cygnus still reduces your damage by 13.2%.
Monsters have a defense stat called percent damage reduction or PDR for short; Defense ignore (which some people just call PDR) allows you to bypass this, as of unleashed its calculated multiplicatively. Zakum for example has 40 Defense, so he at all times reduces your TRUE damage by 40%: but lets say you have 50% defense ignore from any ONE source, that 40 defense gets reduced to 20, due to the calculation changing; you can NEVER reach 100% defense ignore anymore (I can elaborate on what I mean if you want)
Monsters have a certain amount of defense that reduces the amount of damage you do.

If you have 15% PDR and a monster has lets say 100 defense, it'll be the same as fighting a monsters with 85 defense and 0% PDR
