Classes and Inventory space

Does the class you pick have an effect on your inventory space?
I've noticed that my thieve has way more inventory space then my mage.
My pirate has more but they have a skill that increases theirs. So that makes sense.
Mages are too weak to carry that many items, warriors are already carrying too much from the heavy armors and weapons, sins, pirates, and archers can't carry it because they need to be fast and weight will slow them down. So by that logic no class should have increased slots at all. =)

It all evens out so that all classes end up with the same amount of slots. I have no idea why pirates should carry that many items unless they have an invisible pirate ship following them entire time or help from invisible dolphins or whales.
If anything thieves and pirates should have the most slots because thieves steal and pirates just kinda do what they want XP
mages are grossly neglected. i'd like to think the reasoning behind this initially was that spell casters couldn't carry much weight compared to their warrior counterparts or something but they could have at least started with an advantage in use slots u feel
Cannon Master gets a bunch of free extra storage space.

EDIT: wait... I think all pirates get inventory space now.

Yes. I remember when Ultimate Adventurers came out. The fact that they had less slots by default really put me off playing mine. It was such a pain having limited slots.
