@HollowKatara: read the post above yours, as it is 100% right, absolutely nothing changed damage-wise.
@TripleBladez: actually, kanna and AB are a different type of total damage, which stacks multiplicatively with both %total damage and %attack, so yeah...
@dominion: it's still %total damage however, it just displays in range now (which is VERY stupid imo)
@relicdevil: still additive with boss
literally nothing changed functionality wise.
@HollowKatara: Its relative effectiveness hasn't changed. The little you have of the more effective it is. The more you have of the less effective it is.
Usually people don't have as much %attack(except Wild Hunters who get %att buffs) so this usually boosts your range alot more than TD%.
@ryuushinou:
So now, how does %attack compare to %total damage :O?
Thanks for everyone's input btw!
Yep, my range went up by 100k alone just from dojo gloves.
@HollowKatara: It was a stupid gimmick implemented by developer's to make %damage buffs such as Mercedes appear on range but not TD% and others. It should also be noted that Kanna's link skill was multiplicative to some %damage buffs which was even more confusing when the damage formula was:
Range x Skill% x (1+Hyper+other reinforcements+TD%+passive damage% active damage%+boss%) x other multipliers
[Note: This appears to not have changed]
Essentially what the Unleashed patch did was to make coherency on how damage% appear on range.
My range stayed the same though...
@RelicDevil: % Total Damage is still additive with % Boss Damage.
@HollowKatara: Nothing changed with % Total Damage besides the Potential being shown in your range now. If you recall, AB's and Kanna's link skill both give % Total Damage, and they show up in your range.
Yes, PDR (the formula to calculate) did become multiplicative, but it is only shown as additive in your character stat window (which is obviously not supposed to be intended since it's misleading).
@Swagtasticmofo:
There is no problem with them.
@HollowKatara: go test your damage, it's the exact same just now your range looks bigger
I used to hit 600k per line with mille aiguille on regular mobs, however I am hitting less now. But this might be due to the glitch of Aria that is not giving out the 30% pdr.
Or maybe PDR became multiplicative instead of additive.
%total damage works exactly as it used to work before.
@Swagtasticmofo: not if you're using echo!
But it didn't add to range before, that's why im wondering if it will still amplify your final dmg output and does it simply add to range now.
This is stupid. They should name it %range then. "Total" damage would be the total of your damage output
The way that I see it:
Pre-Unleashed:
%total dmg would take your dmg output and simply add that %total dmg to it and make it your final output.
Post-Unleashed:
Simply add some % of current range make it your final range.
Am I right?
%total damage works exactly as it used to work before.
@Swagtasticmofo: not if you're using echo!
Does this mean that %dmg is now less good as it used to be?
@HollowKatara: i can confirm that
top 10 dojo gloves now adds 35k range to me lmfao
@infinteZero: thanks alot!
@Constalations:
weapon def / magic def / %boss / %ignore defense when attacking
Guys what does the bar with the symbols stand for, i know the 3rd stands for boss% and 4th is pdr but what is the 1st and second one?
Yeap oddly enough it does. Wonder if it is a glitch though personally.
I can confirm as well
I can confirm that it does add to range.
