Medical-themed works?
I really enjoy manga/anime that involves such. There's a lot of suspense and the SoL involved with the patients are superb. It's also interesting to learn a medical fact or two.

If you're REALLY into the medical theme and wouldn't mind watching TV series. House M.D. is probably the best out there.

franken fran was hilarious though. Was a bit sad when it ended
Lucifer no Migite maybe, but not too many scans out

Monster has some hospital themes to it as the main character is a surgeon
