blocking off map crash legitly
1st method: crash your flash
2nd method: full screen+alt tab out of maple
the map crash does not seem like something to do with maple, I alt tabbed with my friend dcing, but I never dced with alt tabbing, it seems like the error is because of graphics rather than something else, as you alt tab you see nothing thus no graphic shows up. This doesn't apply if you leave it in window mode however

@hongyu1230: SO if your alt tabed then you won't d/c but you also can't play. What good does that do?

it's only good for setting up your shop and leaving it afk
The map crash method is as follows. You basically send a packet the causes an illegial action in the game(nonexistent skill/bugged summon movement) and everyone else gets an error packet in their receive. You can't fix this with any legit method, only blocking the received packet header and prevent it from reaching your game. Alt tabbing may possibly prevent it but you would have to tab from the game several seconds before the packet is sent by the crasher.

the crashed flash player seems to work for my friend perfectly, he's in cc1 fm with hackers and everyone crashing except him

the map crash has something to do with maple graphics instead of actually disconnecting you. If you alt tab out of the client, maplestory is just a window tab that is minimized and shows no graphics, the crash likely has something to do with a invalid animation as said above, thus it cannot crash you if no graphic is shown

it sometimes work with windows mode
i alt tabbed for a long time and when i went outside to the fm, few people were there
however, i crashed few minutes later and got that error 5 thingy
