Am I considered late for having my first smart phone?
Yes, I got my first smartphone(Blackberry Torch) for Christmas and ever since I told my friends about it, they've been saying "Finally!". I've noticed that almost everyone these days has one. Im also a college freshman.

I still use a folder phone. Seriously little kids with smartphones and tablets, all they use it for are games.

Well now that I have a smartphone I can upload my sketches instead of buying a scanner.
@pawn353: I know I realize its crap compared to other models, its so annoying to not have the common apps.

In all seriousness though, I got my smartphone around mid October. I've been mostly been using it as a calendar, checking the weather, looking up quick stuff, IM, email, and Angry Birds.
I'll be starting to take another photography class soon so I'll be probably using the navigation pretty soon.
I'm 4th year uni and I touched an iPhone (those are smart, right?) only a couple of times (I mean, literally touched).... not planing on getting one until they're dirt cheap and come with a great plan. lol
I feel you TS, I got my smart phone this year (I'm a college freshman also). In high school, I had those crappy bulky phones T_T

i got mine 2 years ago as a freshman too, no biggie
i still haven't owned a smartphone while all my friends have them
it's almost painful when they ask me to do something on their phone for them LOL

Apparently kids these days gets iPhone 4S' at the age of 8 or 9. o.o
