What to study/what to be for University

I'm having alot of troubles in which courses to take in high school because my highschool in town starts at grade nine, so courses are offered a bit early to get a better understanding of the 10,20,30 classes. I'm currently going into grade 9 and in my option sheet it says to either pick one core option and two side options or just pick only four side options. What I'm trying to determine is what I'm going to study/become when I'm older, I'm thinking of being an accountant because my older sister is one so if I have troubles then she can help me; Onto the main topic, I'm wondering if you need to know french to be an accountant (I live in Canada) because I'm thinking of starting french in grade 10 instead of grade 9 to give me more opportunities to study more into the options (Foods, Construction, Media Design, Art, Mechanics, etc.) but my mother keeps telling me that if I start french in grade nine then if I'm doing bad I can quit, but if im doing well I can keep going, the thing is, I don't like french in the first place because I've done it for grade 7 and 8 throughout the whole year and I've absolutely hated it because of all the feminine,masculine stuff, also the Le and le and verbs and whatnot. Even though I live in Canada I don't know french well at all, the only languages I speak are Japanese and English, so those are totally irrelevant to french because barely any masculine and feminine stuff.

Thanks in Advance.

Edit: Prerequisite need for french 10,11,12 so I need to determine whether to take it or not.... I'm pretty sure I should take it but it seems that learning another language is mentally impossible for me to learn because I forget very,very easily/fast...

@xPridex: Well since I live in Canada, there's two languages (French and English) as you probably know, so [most likely everywhere (In Canada) but] there's two programs available to students, 1. English Course which is learning all in english with no french unless the option block is taken to learn french. 2. French Course which is everything in french, such as textbooks, speaking o.o etc.
So pretty much the French program is called Core French/French Immersion (French immersion mostly used but english students to call french people... french immersion.)

EDIT:
@Protoss:
You don't have to necessarily be able to speak french, you just have to be able to pass it in a dash-30 course.
From my experience, high school is pretty much irrelevant.
Get into a CC and do two years and do great -> transfer to a good state school and do research/network -> move on to graduate school or go on to work.

Do whatever you want OP.
Your ears are cute... I want to play with them.

OT: TS you should be mindful of also selecting coursework to help shape you into a well-rounded person that is knowledgeable in multiple disciplines. I don't mean you have to necessarily immerse yourself in different disciplines, but as you transition into post-secondary education if you decide on it take advantage of your first year to explore a bit.
Grade 9 and 10 is a joke.
Grade 11 starts getting serious *the workload is crazy
Grade 12 is the final year and the year to decide where you wanna go in life.
Crazy workload, highschool?

I'm confused.

@temporaryuser: Editted the comment before but there's prerequisites to classes, and one of them is for... french....

Edit: Interests are creative work like art, more specifically digital art, I'm not that social, I like computers and I know a mild bit about them...

@YugimonzFTW:
Sorry that I want to get a life instead of being a mindless zombie.

@lilseventeen:
My mom's just telling me to be an accountant over and over again, there's just too much pressure and if I mess up all she does is get mad so I don't know if I want to take the risk of just not doing what she says.

Do you really want to be an accountant?
I don't know, for you that might be your goal. I know a guy that wants to be...some sort of research analyst involving math.
I'd stick with it just because French seems like something most canadians know.
I wouldn't know. I'm not canadian. xd

Well, if you already speak Japanese and English, move to Japan.

It's not a good idea to go into accounting just because your older sister would be able to help you.

I suggest for you to not chose to be an accountant yet, your still young so just follow your dreams. Unless your dream is to be an accountant who sits there for hours doing numbers and etc.

@Automated:
Well, it's optional whether to take it in grade 9 or grade 10 but my mother prefers that i should take it in grade 9... but I won't get opportunities for other options.
