Trying to run Ms on VMWare workstation
I've recently gotten VMWare workstation 9, and I've wanted to run Maple on it so I looked up some steps and guides and i've found these guides,

and I've followed all the steps and the problem I'm having is when I'm following step two to put the monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true" at the bottom of the .vmx file, but after I load VMware and check back on the .vmx file on notepad there's more script appearing under it, which makes it impossible to edit it so monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true" is at the bottom T_T can anyone help me?

@underpaying: Oh crap @_@ I have no idea what i just did but the 0000 file is missed @_@ WHAT DO I DOOOO, should i just remake everything (values,strings etc.)
@BuryTomorrow: Sometimes people look through other peoples laptops. (maplestory + rl people knowing = No.)

I also use workstation (9), I fixed the file name, uninstalled vmware tools and still doesn't work I have a windows 7 installer disc (backup if original fails) so should I use that? @_@

@BuryTomorrow: I'm not running on a Mac, I'm running on Windows 7 but I just need Maplestory to be separated from my computers files because I need my laptop to be school only and I asked my Dad if I could have it on a separate system like vmware.

Edit: oh okay. shall do.
Edit2: On the second link ([url=http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2390486/0/How_To_Play_MapleStory_on_VMware_Fusion.html][/url]) the last step says to rename @_@ I guess I accidentally used lowercase letters and didn't think it mattered that much, I named it back and deleted the value data, still get Themida error

yeah I made sure that driverdesc is renamed to driverdesc1 (different name) Let me ss it.
Edit: and my .vmx file is the actual system file instead of a just a normal word pad file

Edit3: -Facepalm- I've noticed that I only changed the value name instead of the data @_@
I'm actually not really sure what the problem is now that you said that "monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"" Can be anywhere, lemme try and start it up again.

Yes, I've attempted to run maplestory and I keep getting the "Themida: Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine"
@_@ No, I'm not running numerous maplestorys, one is good enough for me, my case is that I want maplestory to just run on vmware because I need to make my laptop so it's for school only, and when I play games I use vmware.
