Do I have a keylogger on my tail?

Hi, Recently I've been getting many emails from games that I don't play anymore and they all say that I've been selling my account etc. Like Runescape which I haven't played in years, I keep getting numerous emails then next came WoW then more online game sites as spam in my email saying "You're selling your account", "You are banned" Kind of stuff though I've never touched any of those sites in quite a bit. This is my main computer where I browse AND play games on and I so a daily full scan everyday and the outcome is that nothing is there, I'm using Ad-Aware. Is it a invisible key logger or something?

@BobR: Okay thanks I've got it so it's set to do a daily scan, and I think I've opening one of those emails but not gone to their sites then scanned right away.

I did a virus scan just this morning and I had a tojan coming from one of the applications my sister installed when she used my computer </3 >.< it might have been that...

Phishing attempts make their e-mails look legit so they can get past filters. If you haven't been accessing those games then ignore any e-mails claiming you've been banned or you need to "click here" to log into your account and remedy this extremely pressing issue which will result in your account being locked if you don't do it within 24 hours. They just want you to reveal your account info to them.

Having weak passwords has nothing to do with whether or not you have a keylogger.

You need to scan your computer with a reliable anti-virus scanner (AdAware is NOT enough) on a regular basis and I'd recommend replacing AdAware with "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" to scan for spyware after you scan with the anti-virus just to be sure.

Checking processes by yourself is not usually a reliable way to tell if you have a problem. Many times the processes are completely legit, and if you mess with them you can screw things up unless you know exactly what you're doing. The scanners know what's legit and what's not.

@overpaying:
@Balryn:

But I actually registered for those games a few years ago and I still remember the passwords because I've written them down, and I don't get spam from unfamiliar sites because of filters.

@FunMotion:
I think it's a keylogger because I have weak passwords for games that I only play for about two days.

@tonytony40:
Will it still be that process name if it's disguised as another program? EDIT: What Happens if I have one process called 'Winlogon'

A basic way to check if you have one is to go into your task manager, and go under processes.
If you have 2 "winlogin.exe" files it means you have a keylogger.

What everyone above said. Why do you think it is a keylogger? If it was a keylogger you would have been hacked already.

But to be safe for the future, get a keyscrambler
