Yet another nerf KMST 1.2.030

Beginner Skill:
Regained Memory - Boss Damage and Critical Rate boosts have been deleted.
Back to Rien: Cooldown has been increased from 360 to 600 seconds.

3rd Job:
Advanced Combo Ability: Status Resistance boost has been decreased from 60% to 40%.
[b]Adrenaline Boost: Boost in damage when activated has been decreased from 400% to 150%.[/b]

Hyper Skill:
Adrenaline Generator: When Adrenaline Boost has been activated normally, this skill cannot be used for 15 seconds after the Adrenaline Boost state ended. Now increases damage cap by 15M (65M normally, 70M with Heroic Memories).

What the actual heck are they thinking? After losing 120 attack, 25% damage, and 100~175% damage on our main attacking skills, our only saving grace (albeit still deficient) was the Adrenaline Boost mode. And now they're nerfing that to the ground as well? Aran players were complaining for a buff/adjustment at Insoya when the KMS 1.2.248 patch hit, and this is the treatment we get? We're far from overpowered.

Everyone calm down. 5th job was confirmed to be released this year, so that's probably why every class is getting nerfed. Although I will admit, as a long time Aran, seeing our class continuously nerfed really sucks.

Uggggghhhhh...... Why...? ;o; You're not making me give up on Arans Nexon!! But then again this particular update won't come around for a REALLY long time, so I guess we may as well bask in the (personally) enjoyable revamp when it comes around till this hits... *Facepalms*

@feeling: KMS always hates on somebody. But even though these nerfs really do suck, KMS has done much worse hating in the past.

Before coming back to Reboot, I didn't care much for NLs. I used to main a Pally on Windia and besides the whole Dexless Sins era allowing me to sell Throwing Stars and scrolls/claws/TT30 for their job, I wasn't really affected by the job. But when I picked the NL job, I decided I wanted to learn about its past. It was ugly what KMS did to the job throughout the years until the relatively recent past.

When 4th job first came out, NLs were one of few jobs who did not get a new mobbing ability. Their skills were also harder to get and to max considering half of them had to be received from bosses like Zakum and HT which were no joke at the time. Then the job saw its own signature abilities, SP and FJ, straight up be copied and pasted to the Shadower job. Night Walkers came out as pretty much a "stronger than you until you hit Lvl 130" copy of the job. Then Triple Throw got a horrendous mechanics change which made jump-spamming it much more difficult for no reason at all. A formula change for L7/TT was done to normalize the calculation of the output, but no other adjustments were made, then making that a nerf. For a span of many years, it seemed like Nexon wanted to just wipe the job off the face of the planet.

But the job refused to die, yo. And I guess Nexon gave up and has been very nice to the job ever since.

So I don't know why KMS is hating on Arans, but there's hope it'll come to its senses eventually.

What a joke. Why the hell were the regained memory boosts removed? Seriously Nexon? This is a "balance" patch?

Unreal. Classes like DB, Kaiser, Cannoneer are all allowed to stay overpowered and unchanged but as soon as Aran gets anything remotely decent we get the nerf bat. Do they not know what these classes have? If anything our class should be the one getting no changes or just buffs.

We have now lost 1 damage line, we have lost various stat boosts, 20% status resist and more than 50% of skill damage. All for what? A berserker mode that lasts 20 seconds total which also got brutally nerfed.

Whole thing is making me sick especially when I continue to look at other classes and what they have and have kept forever without nerfs. More than 50% of the classes in this game are far more powerful than Aran and yet Nexon still feels the need to nerf us. Makes 0 logical sense.

Goodbye 4th job Aran. Hibernating until 5th job comes out, cya.

Hoping we get some sort of infinity swing, a long range mobbing attack that includes the polar bear, phoenix, tiger, and frozen axes, a type of way to truly wield and utilize Maha in polearm form, and a true blizzard/tempest attack.

The drop in Status resistance is what makes me more annoyed especially. Now not being able to use Adrenaline Generator right after Adrenaline Boost I'm ok with, but that damage decrease overall is REALLY dropping it too far! I mean halve I can say "Well sure... >_>", but 50% lower than halve?! Wow.

@fumumu: Giga is 10/12, Kaiser can stay in FF almost 90%+ of the time, Giga is also 3x faster than FBBB and only accounts for about 60% of their DPS.

I'ma miss the 20% status res the most. I can't really comment on the AR changes since we haven't gotten them yet but seeing that not very many people in KMS think the damage is great ATM I can't really agree with any of this.

RIP Aran, Again. And the main server patch will probably be slightly worse.

@fumumu: I think it's 11 and 13

You guys do get 11 lines for FB and 13 for BB during Adrenaline mode but the duration is too short and the boost doesnt compare to before you guys got the changes (with the exception of FB which is a lot more in both adrenaline mode and without). Still a 250% chop from adrenaline mode is kinda much.

Man, I got all excited seeing the post on job "rebalancing", but that just turned into NotLikeThis

I'm pretty mad about this. Feels like Riot, where a new item comes out that heavily improves one champ, in which they nerf their skills in response, and then nerf the item after with no compensation. In this case, it's Adrenaline Boost, with nerfed base attacks. They're pretty much funneling all of the power into this gimmick, which I guess we can't have either because we're too much better than those other classes, right? They're blaming this on a fringe case of double stacking Adrenaline Boost (which I initially misread as applying two at the same time, not consecutively), so they only needed to apply the last cooldown change if they wanted to fix that.

I'm not really a fan of the hit to that exclusive silent crusade skill and 20% Status res reduction, but it's not really as important, though it's not like this link skill is any good, and I'll have to get a Res pot to get from 83% to max again.

I get that its KMST and its tentative, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes through. Not much to look forward to.

Our skills are currently slightly worse than Kaisers giga wave. Which hits 12 times? and 14 in FF? Not 100% sure but giga is 315% damage.

Aran is clearly much too overpowered though. We need less lines and less damage. *sarcasm*

@fumumu: BB hits 6 times. FB is 5 but it would be nice if that was 6 as well.
Main concern is the reduction in damage.

@hyperfire7: It wouldn't be so bad if it was implemented better and remained strong. I want at least 6 lines across the board though without Adren mode.

@ackarred: If they do that then I would have no qualms. I would actually prefer that instead because relying heavily on a 20 second super saiyan mode for our damage output is awkward as hell.

So now we'll be left with 250% attack boost from Adrenaline, 100% from the passive. We lost half of what we originally had with nothing to compensate. May as well give us back the lines and damage percentages from Beyond Blade and Final Blow, I thought Adrenaline was suppose to make us super strong with an extremely short duration.

@fumumu: Exactly, watch them nerf us even more. This is gonna be a repeat of Arans post-BB but pre-Chaos patch back in early 2011 when Arans were quite literally the worst class damage wise.

Yep I don't think they know what they're doing and it's becoming incredibly irritating. Why is our damage being butchered so badly when we have such little lines? We don't even compare to some of the other classes that have far more lines and higher skill damage %.

I looked at demon avenger and they got a boost to damage as well as cap increase...

This is the test server but seeing how we got treated last time I'd expect the worst.
