Just duo'd VL in 5 minutes.

It really is easy once you develop a technique for it. For all mercedes, keep it on the left side of the map and stand between its legs, only use Ishtar and your fairy summon, as long as you dont aggro the monsters you'll stay locked on VL and it should be ez pz, whenever you see purple stop for a second (DR is purple as well as one of his debuffs/attacks). Also, try to get VL to face the wall, helps most of his attacks miss.

I have the same. Only about a 50%-60% DEX, 50k range, 15% PDR and Defense Break isn't maxed yet....Need an SP reset....So from what I've read, you hit him until he max spawns, run to the LEFT wall so he can teleport to you, and then go all out on Ishtar's ring without hitting the mobs?

if you're lucky you can beat him with that range, but i'd get to around 100k range. it was hard even at a 100k range for me ;P

If you keep him against the left wall you won't dc at all. Tested and works. If your char attacks him while you're outside of the 1st quarter of the map while spawn is maxed, you'll most likely crash.

if you damage the mobs then you won't lock onto von leon

I solod with my aran with 60k range first time going alone, now Im at 100k.

i've tried numeroous attempts at soloing and each time produces a little more results. My range is about 55k but i have 60%boss and 45%ignore. The spawns is the most annoying part about him. what i found helpful was when going from the opposite end of the map and allow VL to tele to u so you can put out some dps w/o mobs constantly attacking you. Unless you can outdamage more then he can heal himself... your only option is to max out spawn but this will most likely end up crashing you. I've had to rely solely on avoidabilty and i dropped VL to less then 25% and then all of sudden he kept using DR and potential lock (and with potential lock, avoidability is all gone) non stop. It was one after the other with a very short interval of being able to actually put out some decent dps which got very very frustrating and i ultimately end up crashing. I've also found it kind of helpful to go in darksight as a thief because the mobs still follow you but they won't attack you, so i lured them off of VL. And i believe everyone knows this one but if your standing ontop of VL the right way, you'll be able to attack him even if their is a group of mobs on u. I suggest doing that in windows mode too btw because i tried it in full screen and i could not get it to work. It was alot harder to position myself and attack VL with a group of mobs. It takes some practice but i got it down to where i can come in the map and instantly attack VL... its just potential lock and DR -__- and ofc maple crashing. Just little tips and things that i noticed while trying to kill him...

I think later imma try to make a video of soloing von leon with 0% dex and level 10 dbg unscrolled to show how easy it is to solo von leon.

When people suggest maxing out the spawn you're going to end up disconnecting yourself. The spawns are the direct reason for your disconnecting. You either have a high enough range to finish the boss in 5~ minutes or you go with some friends.

When it locks your potential i find it easier to just die and come back.

it's tricky..i mean i have a 70k self buffed range. when i attack von leon, his hp drops like crazy lol. but then hell starts.
first he summons. of course this causes a lag. as soon as that happens, i come back to his hp being healed. (he eats the mobs before i recover from lag..that's how bad i lag) after that he telies me out. i start hitting chests. i come back. repeat. repeat. repeat. pot cancel. slower than ever. -gives up-

Half of this info is just plain wrong. Von Leon has pot lock and heals but consuming his mini castle golem summons. He can also warp you to another map where you must open chests to find a key to return. He does not ohko and he does not seduce.

OT: You can try maxing summons and then rushing them away, but this usually just leads to the game crashing due to memory leaks

VL can "eat" spawn to heal about 70 mil hp. you would need a pusher unless you have some insane DPS.

VL usually does 1k~ touch dmg to me so you won't die

If you stand right on top of VL, you will attack VL, and nothing else, I believe it works on all bosses.
