2014 Crimea Crisis
I'm doing a paper on the 2014 Crimea Crisis in Ukraine, and i have to write about it from a sociological perspective. I'm having troubles atm, and i was wondering if anyone could help clarify and explain to me the reasons why this is happening? thank you

Russia feels threatened/ disrespected by EUs expansion
Part of Ukraine favors EU parts favor Russia
Crimea, heavily Russian ethnic, is a major resource in oil, sea, etc.
Eu is IMO militarily naive/weak
Ukraine is not part of NATO which gives some countries the excuse to drag their feet
Countries that drag their feet do so due to reliant on Russian oil and etc.
