New computer lagging horribly
Hello, a week ago my wife and I bought a computer for her school and to play maplestory. It is lagging awful and from what I can tell has good specs, although further research seems that possibly the processor isn't the best. What can I do to improve this PC to make it run maplestory more smoothly? Thank you all!

Thanks everyone, and I do know its not my internet as I play on my laptop while my wife uses the PC, and my laptop is nearly lag-free and it does not have as good specs from what l recall. It is an HP. I will try to update drivers.
@icec0ldkila Please don't tell me it's a Toshiba cuz I had this same problem on my Boss' laptop a while ago. This laptop is newer than my stinkin Dell but my Dell never lagged so hard like the Toshiba. I guess it is all about specs like the above posters says. Take it back while you still can! <3
The main piece of the computer would be the processor. If you're looking to play Maple, get something in AMD brand with at least an A8 processor if you want minimal lag or a an Intel Core i3 processor for minimal lag. An A4 is alright, but not really for gaming. Better for streaming and doing simple stuff. Everything else looks good though.
update all your drivers
maplestory seems to have so many problems yet even nexon doesnt know how to fix them.
I think it's your internet, or a virus.
The first thing you should always get is antivirus software for your computer. Just get AVG or something, but to check your internet speed, use a website like Speedtest.
maple is best run on toasters. not even joking. it seems the better the computer used to run maple. the WORSE it gets.
