Family dinners are miserable
So its Thanksgiving right now and I seriously do not want to spend any time with my family.
I can't stand them, because they do insufferable dumb crap.
It includes, but is not limited to:
- Pressing me about my love life (I'm not interested in getting married so shaddap already)
- Comparing me to other people and how I do so badly at school or work compared to others
- Telling me that I'm useless and all I do is leech food and money off the family
- Tell me everything else they find wrong with me
- Force me to go next year and suffer the same insufferable crap again (Why do they even invite me in the first place when they think I'm a useless leech?)
All I can say is, eff family dinners.
I'm going to die when the holidays come.

Make up an excuse like you have pneumonia. There's no reason to be around people you don't like. I hate those too. People are so fake; it disturbs me.
Then maybe you should stop being a leech and do something with your life.
Apparently the only thing people can talk to me about is school and how my BME program is going. I'm more than that, you know.
Then I get the occasional "I saw this thing on TV...."

And if you don't like it that much, don't come and stay quiet from your family for that whole day.
Or get a life, that works too.
Sounds like my family back in high school but they stopped after I started university. I want a turkey dinner though.

You could find a job to drown yourself in so you can just tell them you have work and can't go. And if they complain, then it'll only be for that moment because they'll be gone and you'll be at work soon enough.
