@wall Yeah I figured they would be hard to get, seeing as the amount of coins needed was low / level of equips
don't forget that CRA has a top/bottom while Absolab has an overall. That means you're losing out on 6 lines of potential which is A LOT of damage. A lot more than a better set effect. Thats probably why the majority don't use it.
I prefer Alicia's staff; it's 500 magic attack and +200 int clean.
If I'm on a budget and the coins are easy to get I'd do CRA Hat + faf top and bottom (3 set effect), then AbsoLab The rest for 6 Set effect.
@phizz: That is not how scarlet ring works. What scarlet ring does is replace a RING and gets added to the effect for which it has replaced. Since weapon is obviously not a ring category it cannot be replaced.
If you get the scarlet ring, you can exchange a fafnir weapon with an absolab weapon, as the root abyss 4 set effect will be maintained by the ring.

Yeah and you can also get both weapon and staff. Also shoes and boots.

I feel as if just upgrading to an Absolab weapon would be beneficial. For example on the cannon, Absolab's base attack is 35 more weapon attack than it's Fafnir counterpart. Yes you would lose out on 30% boss from the set effect, but does that extra 35 atk make up for it?

You're good up to the 5th set but you'd have to leave out tyrant gloves. In other words, I'd stop at the 5th set.
the only class that should consider absolab is kanna for the 2ndary fan
RA+6/7-star tyrants > Absolabs
RA&no tyrants < Absolabs
No because you'd have to get rid of tyrants.
Maybe the weapons are but not the whole set because it's a 7 set item.
