Bravery and Cancer
Hey Basilers,
I was on Youtube and see these adults/children/teens arguing about Cancer. The kids/teens are saying people with cancer aren't exactly brave because they got a sickness they couldn't prevent. Meanwhile, the adults are saying the people who got cancer are brave for facing it.
So, Basilers do you think its brave when people get cancer?

you must be aware that no one wants to have cancer so they have both the right to be strong or to complain about it
Alright, I know 2 people who have and had cancer and they were both girls.
The girl who survived cancer went through many chemo-therapy and had one of her breast removed for chances to survive. It wasn't a 100% survival rate but the decision to do it was definitely hard because she was removing the main part of her woman-hood, what girl wants that? Now, do I think that's brave? Yes; she was making a decision that was non-guaranteed to remove a special part of the body. It was the best decision and one of the hardest, it takes a brave person to go through so much trouble.
The girl going through cancer right now has a different story. It's quite sad and I can't talk about it but she is also brave for deciding to live on for what she has been through.
You need to rephrase what you're saying however... It's not brave when people have cancer (that doesn't make sense). Its sad when people have cancer and it makes people brave.
I'm pretty sure all cancer patients are brave for enduring the pain of it and grats to those who survive it. It would be considered brave because once they realised that they have cancer they are "ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage.".
Personally, if I realised I had cancer, I'd be doing my best trying to survive; (showing courage).

no, but it's brave of them to fight it and not just let themselves die without a fight.

3. Fight back and not let it win
