Soloing hard gollux

I have a level 180 marksman and I really enjoy playing it and I was wondering what kind of range and boss % it would take to solo hard gollux (one piece killed). Also any tips for which body part to take out or about dodging attacks and strategies would be appreciated. Thanks

are there any tips to soloing normal mode for a bishop? Is it better to kill both shoulders or one right shoulder and abdomen?

What i do is kill the abdomen and put my arrow illusion at the other side of him, keep attacking just infront of the mob spawn place and let the frostprey take care of that spawn point..
When arrow illusion fades just put it back down on the other side again and repeat..
When the head is down double jump up and you should be in a safe position..
Use the totem skill to take care of mobs underneath you, and just finish it up.
i have like 600k range, 250%, soloing hard gollux is pretty easy.
kill right shoulder
attack gollux from the left side
flash jump across to plant arrow illusion on spawn of mobs,
flash jump back
attack it. although you need a lot of damage. id suggest you would need around 200-300k range to make this fairly easy.

im on the verge of soloing hell mode, just need more damage.
Yea that's what I have been doing. I kinda mess up with the timing a lot and when I try to jump over to the other side to put arrow illusion up I die. Also some of the mons get through arrow illusion and I get a counter. My range is 278k buffed and I have 153% boss.
Ty guys for the tips XD the portal stategy works really well and I tried it. The only thing I don't get is why you have to kill the abdomen if you use the portal left right thing because from what I see the inhale has a slightly larger range on the sides but leaves out some of the part closest to gollux like where the portal is
You don't have to kill the abdomen. Its just if u get eaten by the jaw its annoying. Kill the part that best helps you win.

Try to beat normal gollux first, its quite a step up compared to easy. When I faced it, the best thing to do was stay in the middle and move out of the poison breath's way. Even though this means less damage, he does kill you alot.
Mercs are kinda weak soo its kinda understandable
its more that NL have it easier when golluxing. What the NL even suggested about outranging and staying on one side is pretty difficult when it comes to maintaining the mobs.

OT:

Kill the Abdomen, uless your comfortable with the Jaw. If you are, kill the shoulder on your right. Always fight gollux on your left.
Keep Frostprey Summoned. It helps alot on mob control
On the middle of the jaw there is a hidden portal, you want to stay on the opposite side of that portal that Gollux is looking. If Gollux is looking right you should be on top of the portal's left edge.
IA probaly should be summoned somewhere if it can ohko. Where, idk, you have to test yourself.
Once Jaw is defeated, summon IA somwhere that is not close to the middle to reduce the the speed that the mobs will add a counter.
Dj to the top ledge and stand on the very corner. You will not die there if you are at the edge.
Pile on Snipe at the eyes until you ultimately die from counters
or
jump down every now and then and kill the mobs walking towards the middle. If yoy killed an arm instead of abdomen this method is a bit easier
Once the Eyes are defeated pile on Snipe on the forehead.

Not a MM so not sure if its the same. As long as you don't have a counter you can leave and rebuff.

here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8B81HEGMVs#t=57 Do not go as far as the Merc is going on the jaw, as I said stay at the edges of the portal. The only reason why the merc is going that far is because thier summon isn't like Frostprey.

@gamemage3: Wow. Well NLs are quite powerful after RED. Especially with the Mark of NL that pretty much lets me kill the spawns without having to worry about them.
For which body part to kill, i recommend a shoulder. You can outrange the seduce breath thing, so you dont need to worry too much about that. Stand the opposite side of the shoulder you kill. (ie if you kill right shoulder stand on the left side of gollux). From experience, the hand only seems to come from the opposite side of the alive shoulder.

Around 200k and 100% boss should be more than enough to solo. I solo'd the first time on my NL at 300k range 85% boss with like 15 mintues left, and my friend MM with a 150k range has about 2/3 my dmg, so you can probably do it with as low as 70% boss, but better safe than sorry.
wow, my merc with 300k range and 190% boss soloed with 8 minutes left, now you make me feel bad

you're a broken marksman, so i'd say 200k with 150%+ boss is enough
