What cubes to buy?
What cube should I buy when I want to increase the tier rank from epic to unique?
I know some cubes have a higher % of increasing the rank, but are they worth the cost?
Thanks.

Black cubes tier up better, red cubes are for when you're already legendary. Black cubes are supposed to tier up better atleast, so that's the main advantage of them, the saving potential thing isn't really the main advantage unless you cube in really small chunks.
Honestly it's all a matter of luck. From my own personal experience, I've tried like 6 red cubes and 4 black cubes and haven't tiered up once. However, recently I decided to try again and I bought a 12 pack of red cubes. My top went from epic to unique in about 3 or less tries, and I got 6% of my main stat for pretty much of all my equips within one to two tries just using red cubes, which is a huge improvement for me. Not sure what to do with all my extra red cubes now lul. I would definitely recommend using red cubes to tier up on the basis of their lower cost cause I mean 12 red cubes for 10800 and 11 black cubes for like 19800 nx yeah no thank you. Once you get unique status and have a rather good potential, I would say to switch onto black cubes, so that if you get crud you can still switch back to your previous potential. Hope that helps

Where did he say "this item has a higher chance of ranking up than the red cube"? That person has meant when you want to aim for something better. Black Cubes have the ability to offer the chance to decide whether or not to apply the new Potential to your item.
I dont plan to use alot of nx on this.. Maybe 50k nx on cubes TOTAL? Probably less. So I definitely don't plan to get to legendary.
i got about 4 legendaries from black cubes and only 1 from red cubes. i personally believe black cubes are better for tiering up. at legendary pot, i use red cubes of course
So should I use black cubes or red cubes if I just want to get it to Unique? I plan to use red cubes once it's unique to get a stat I perfer.
i would personally spam red cubes since you're at epic then start using black cubes to legendary once you get decent potential, say 15% of your stat or better, at unique
oh you just want unique, k yeah just spam red cubes or at least that's what i would do
So should I use black cubes or red cubes if I just want to get it to Unique? I plan to use red cubes once it's unique to get a stat I perfer.
@Mesmus: send help please

hes not a liar he was just posting his opinion from his experiences also he said similar not exactly the same.
I got my tyrant cape unique in 3 cubes, my sup gollux belt in 2, and a sweetwter tattoo in 1 cube! The other 24 cubes didn't make a difference ended up getting 21%luk on my hermes cape
Why is your avatar sinking
People SAY black cubes are better, but honestly I think red and black are similar
Just use red cubes until you get potential you want to keep.
Then black cubes if you want to aim for something better.
In terms of efficiency red cubes are better, keep using them no matter what unless you hit a good potential in Unique, then use black cubes.
Once you get to Legendary, there's really no point in using black cubes because there isn't a higher tier, so yeah.
If you land a really good pot in Legendary, and you want something better but don't want to lose the old one, use black cubes, obviously.
If you only want unique buy a unique potential scroll with a guardian scroll, that's honestly the cheapest way IMO unless you get extremely lucky.
wert. i used 30 red cubes and didn't get tier up from uni->leg.
Dem lucks
OT: i doubt black is better unless its stated somewhere/ i normally use blacks when my item is at legendary tier.
People SAY black cubes are better, but honestly I think red and black are same. Otherwise, nexon would have said blacks are better so that people would spend more nx on blacks.
Just use red cubes until you get potential you want to keep.

but i thought the black cubes, that say on the item itself, has a higher chance of "ranking up" or "increasing tier" than a red cube?
i've only used one black cube, and that was from the ring event. it said on the cube itself, that this item has a higher chance of ranking up than a red cube. maybe it was just that cube only.
Black cubes in my opinion are a rip off. If you're looking to cube potential in the first place, why would you spend twice as much to keep something else that you are willing to spend money/ nx on to change anyways? Sure, if you get 70% boss 40% ignore, that's good and the chances of you getting better are slim. But if you're not satisfied with that potential why would you pay twice as much to ensure that you keep it in case you got crap?
Black I usually tier up in 5-8 cubes. Red takes me 10-14 on average
Black cubes for raising tier level and red cubes to adjust your stats to your liking, it's the cheapest way to apply potential stats but I seen people use black cubes all the way as they are picky over which stats to chose from.
