Which 3ds Pokemon

Both x/y and oras have been out for a good time now. So having played both which of them do you find yourself playing and enjoying more often?

I loved oras but something keeps drawing me back to my copy of X. From When x and y were announced till they came out was prob the most hyped I'd ever been for a Pokemon game in a long long time. I truly enjoyed Kalos and the feel from the region despite any flaws. I know oras has a few more features but something is so alluring about x and y to me.

X/Y because ORAS is 7.8 too much water.

They need to add a feature to make it easier to create and start Online Multi Battles (this feature has so much potential if it was there). I really like Multi Battles but I can barely do it because it cost so much time to gather everyone. Now we would need to use the forums to find people but it would be great if we could just do it in-game.

Example: Create a party with a friend. Go to the Battle Spot and select Multi Battle and it will find another team who signed up there.

I don't think I will even get Pokemon Z even if they add some other contents but still lacks this 'easy creation' for Online Multi Battles and I will see what they will release in the future XY2 or Gen 7.

Bad and practically nonexistent plotline.
No backstory for two of the most amazing legendaries ever designed.
City designs for the most part were uninspired and forgettable.
Lumiose City was a mistake. Paris doesn't look like this at all.
Gameplay is mostly the exact same without really any breaks in between.
The characters were nice but I just couldn't get myself to care for them.
No post-game content.
France is not flat?

XY pros:
Clothing.
Easy breeding.
Legendaries look tight as hell.
Mega evolutions lore.

Overall XY just has two massive issues. The design flaws of the region, which to me look like the team has never seen even a picture of France and Paris in particular and the plotline being incredibly bland.

I was really disappointed by the legendaries and how they were treated. Honestly, Xerneas is one of the most amazing looking legendaries out of all 721 Pokemon. Yveltal isn't far behind. I mean Xerneas is a Pokemon that can share Eternal life and Yveltal is represents death to whatever extend? And they're used to fire up some weapon with truth be told a cool backstory that didn't get enough attention?

XY just feels like a game with a lot of opportunities that were ignored. We shouldn't treat it as a good game simply because it was the first 3D game in the main series.

ORAS cons:
They left out battle frontier.
The post-game area feels a bit thrown together.
No online contests. I would have liked doing them in the original order as well. All in one place kills the appeal a little.
It's a remake so a lot of it is what we already know.
Supposedly there's a timeline error created by ORAS but I honestly don't care.
Disgusting way of treating the release dates.

ORAS pros:
The legendaries play a massive role and the Hoenn lore has always been incredibly good.
Post game is actually quite nice. There's still contests, legendaries and the reggies. The whole Delta arc definitely has great appeal.
The water thing is actually quite improved. I didn't spend all my time swimming around which was great.
The characters are all interesting. It feels as if the dialogue was more extensive and I actually was interested in what they had to say.
The existence of Wally and Steven.

Now I'm not about to praise ORAS as if it's the best Pokemon game ever, but I do think it's better and more worked out than XY ever was. The end game was a little disappointing I gotta say. I was expecting them to include Battle Frontier... because practically everyone was asking for it, but still better than XY ever was. The story overall is more interesting and the gameplay seems a lot more varied. As far as that goes with a Pokemon game. The lore is a lot more extensive which is something I've always liked about Hoenn. The legendaries, you know those Pokemon portrayed on the darned boxes, actually play a role in the story which was lacking in XY.

My main issue is still the way they treated the release dates. They made it appear like the release date was the same. They even removed the release date out of the description of their trailers on Youtube at some point. The EU videos kept saying "Release worldwide November" while the other videos would say "November 21st". They could have just given us the real date rather than get our hopes up.

And finally when everyone figured it out, there wasn't a reason given and any question asked was completely ignored. Which truth be told, annoys me to this day. It felt as if all of Europe and other countries/continents were punished for the leak with XY, which obviously we weren't responsible for. One week difference for the exact same game doesn't even really make sense anyway. The week wouldn't have mattered in any way or form.

All in all, ORAS seems better than XY, but the release for XY was much better.
You make a lot of great points. I was looking forward to battle frontier so so much. I was very disappointed with the lack of it. Second on my list was contests....until I tried them in this game. Don't get me wrong I enjoy them but was slightly dissaponted with how easy it was this time (Easy to max condition and once maxed you can win on this alone) and it sucks you no longer get ribbons for each difficulty level. I still like doing them though. The things I enjoy most about oras is the secret bases and dexnav. The delta episode was okay. I loved zinia or however you spell her name..her theme and backstory was awesome but I hated that it was literally very mundane fetch quests till the end. Either way all the post game content is way better than x and y. I miss the cafes being able to battle over and over and get rich easy instead of the food court where you can only do it once a day. I miss the customization personally though I can see some people not caring at all about it and that these are remakes so not having customization maws sense. (Gamefreaks reasoning though does not) I also quite enjoyed the battle chateau though idk how many other people care about that lol. Ehh either way I've enjoyed 6th gen and look forward to Pokemon z or whatever they announce.

Honestly, I liked ORAS more because of the plotline and endgame content, like breeding perfect Pokemon, soaring, diving, etc.. I felt it offered more compared to X/Y. However, X/Y was more fun during the game, but once you hit the end it falls flat. There's so little to do.

X/Y was only good for the online tbh, it seriously lacked a good aftergame.

ORAS was much better because I didn't give a crap about customization and it had better features like Secret Bases. X and Y had a crappy plot and virtually no post game content which somehow pissed me off the most.

If you're more of a single player guy, then go ORAS.
It has much more to offer for single player.
XY is good too, but a very short game, also less megas.

i cant bring myself to finish as qq barely finished x/y before i gave it away
dont get me wrong, both were good games but i dont think i was playing x/y for the gameplay...i bought all the clothes and tried crossing all the berries together before i went to the pokemon league and several ppl told me to play ac:nl instead

X and Y was my favorite. Customizing your character and the variety of Pokemon you can get was pretty much why I enjoy the game. ORAS for me was dull since the Pokemon I wanted werent present till really late into the game and running constantly into Zigzagoon and Linoone turned me off.

X and Y was way more enjoyable. If only the new mega's worked, I would've stuck with X and Y.
