Pokemon post battle options
When playing x and y I loved the battle chateau! It reminded me of black tower from black 2 almost. I also enjoy being able to rematch trainers in ORAS but I'm surprised I'm finding it annoying to have to travel all around to do it instead of a single building. So what are your favorite post game battle/rematch options.

You could battle gym leaders and champions from the past in BW2 via tournament (forgot what it's called)
You could battle trainers and gym leaders again and were able to get another 8 badges in Kanto
You could also battle Red which is amazing. G/S was awesome.
I like the different Battle buildings in the Battle Frontier in Emerald as it offers diversity and fun.
My best memory is challenging mount battle after beating Colosseum. I think it was impossible to get Ho-oh at that time (in Canada anyways) by any other means so when I unlocked Ho-oh it was such an achievement for me. For that reason Ho-oh has always been one of my party members as soon as I could trade in every game. It was like my safe pokemon in case I got in a rough spot.
Gold/Silver. A lot to do after beat the elite 4. Especially in the remakes.
Gen 6 lost my attention very quickly each game because nothing to do after the elite 4 really compared to black tower/pwt for gen 5 and battle frontier and just amount of stuff can do in gen 4 in the g/s remakes.
In gold/silver you could rematch trainers and gyms. i loved that.
Breed mons for VGC>Battle Spot Doubles>Join tourny irl/showdown
Battle Spot > Free Battle or Rating Battles. I usually do Double and Triple Battles.

Going to Kanto.
Getting all 8 badges again and delving into what happens two years following Red/Blue
Battling Red
Blew my mind as a kid, thought it was over after elite four. Internet wasn't big back then (At least in the poor neighborhood anyways)
