Fire Emblem Awakening is my favorite 3DS game
can someone explain the differences between the 3ds, 3ds xl, 2ds and "new" 3ds xl or some thing
The 2DS is the most ergonomic and the most durable because it doesn't have a flex cable inside a hinge that would eventually break
Only offers Mono sound without headphones; no faux 3D support; is the least portable
3DS is the most portable
It is the least ergonomic; has the lowest battery life; the select and start button provide next to no feedback; the screen is susceptible to scratches by just closing it; shoulder buttons are prone to failure; flappy hinge
3DS XL is a slightly bigger 3DS with much better select and start buttons
The hinges are prone to cracking and are even more flappy than 3DS'
New 3DS is a 3DS with 2 extra buttons, an analog nub, better faux 3D and a slightly better CPU that offers faster boot up times and the ability to play 2 or so wii ports
Not available in the Americas; barely any game makes use of the extra buttons and analog nub; flappy hinges
New 3DS XL is a New 3DS but bigger

depends on the types of games you play i would say get bravely default, fire emblem, all 3 of the current LoZ games for rpg's for multiplayer you typical fighting games smash etc, for those life simulators, animal crossing and rune factory are good options
LoZ: Link Between Worlds & Fire Emblem: Awakening!
