If you say the population is declining on the official forums enough times you'll get perma-banned off them.
I doubt anytime soon. Sure the population has gone down along with Nexon's quality, but the ***holes are still making money, especially in South Korea.
Two years from now, we'll be thinking back at how we complained two years ago about the game dying, while we're discussing it in a thread about how the game will die in 2 year.
Nexon makes over 300million each quarter in just asia and maplestory plays a big role so at least i can say it wont be over for a long time over in asia, now the company is investing over here and wants to expand to north america, nexon has 3 games in the top 10 f2p with the highest revenue, with maplestory being one of them. On the contrary, nexon will become the biggest gaming corporation in the world in a few years and they are not letting go of one of their golden childs. Just google "nexon corp ltd stock" and " maplestory revenue for nexon" tell me this game is closing soon after reading all the stories.
you cant really leave maple, so if they keep going in this direction (making it less p2w [maple rewards, events, shining enhancement etc etc]) it will last for a long time

The population has dwindled incredibly since pre-Big Bang but it has grown a lot over the past year (I'm in my first month back after a years haitus).
