Losing keys means burglary?

Today I was lucky to lose my keys...
I was on my way to the gym, and when I got there I noticed that my keys weren't in my pocket and neither in my bag. I went back to my house and took the same route twice, and there was no key to be seen on the streets. Seems that someone has taken it.

Theres a store nearby that can copy keys for like 10,-. However, I'm more worried about the fact that someone can break into my house because he has my keys. What are the chances? Someone has some experience with it? And no, I didn't put my adres on the keys.
0 chances. How is the person picking up the keys supposed to know which house it belongs to?

EDIT: Unless someone intentionally stole them and knows where you live.... o.o o.o o.o
@ilovejesters don't tell me that the group of black people that were staring at me are up to something
@slyone the first place that came up to my mind was the city hall. Lost wallets, ID cards, driver liscense, phones are usually taken there, so I though that my keys would be there too. The lady at the counter asked how the keychain looked like, which I knew ofcourse.

l don't know why you wouldn't think to check by any near lost and found places you have been to first.
No one would steal keys for the sake of stealing them unless they were following you, and there are a lot of good people that will help you!
l've lost my flash drive countless times (attached to my keys) and they always end up in a lost and found around the area or at a help desk where someone brings it.

I'm curious... how did you get in contact with city hall about your keys?

Also, that makes me wonder, if we ever find a lost item on the street, we should take it to the nearest city's lost and found? How did the lady know who to give it to haha. I mean, city hall sounds like a big deal, it also sounds like it might be far far away especially if you don't live near the city.

Until you realize that they made copies, handed the original keys in, and stalked city hall waiting for some chump to show up and claim the keys. Then followed said chump home and now knows exactly what house to break into!

You call that luck?
I don't think it is healthy to be paranoid. It is unlikely you will be burglarized, unless this person has been following you.
Otherwise they would have go try every door in your neighborhood. In this case, you should be able to see him making his way towards your door then get your key back.
