Is Maple not active anymore?
HEY everyone! I've came back from Maplestory after a year ( when empress was still the main gear ) I've been playing maplestory actively now and have noticed a few key changes.
Freemarket Channel 1 ( Bera) is basically empty, not so many spammers trying to sell. I've played Maplestory since 2006 and have never seen it this lifeless before. I noticed its really hard to sell things if you do not have a shop.
Also the first worlds don't seem as crowded, the channel bars are really empty.
I know some people are going back to school and everything, but it usually doesnt cause Maplestory to be this inactive.
TL;DR whats happend since last year to make the game seem like there's less people playing.

Spammers as a whole have pretty much died out. Still a few, but they're just the leftovers hoping to get the newbies and the desperate. You need a certain critical mass of buyer/sellers to make that work, and ever since free owls the FM just hasn't really had that.
There are still plenty of people, they're just more spread out now. Common maps include SH (Second drill hall), Gollux, and Commerci. If you want to see a ton of people at once, just go to flag race, more people than you ever wanted, getting in your way, shooting cannons at you, and blocking your view.
Get a life.

Season where Maple dies until Thanksgiving break or xmas..
in fall-spring, everybody has school, in summer everybody has work/going out so it's always going to be like this
